UTXMP and UTVOTE not displaying votes

    In an earilier post I had several problems and all were fixed but one. see link for long history if you want :eek: ;)

    Anyway, I decided to try it again with UTXMP, and the player votes (totals per map) still do not show on top of the map pics. Is there a known reason why?

    I started reading the post and I was lost on 50% reading it :)
    Sorry to maybe start over again.
    1. How does the client get the maps, did you activate downloads or is the mod already installed on the client.

    I know that sometimes it causes error when people downloading the stuff of the server without installing it.

    But I tell you what, I have about 1-2 hours time now, I gonna install a server myself and let you know about the progress

    ps: keep in mind that UTXMP is still Beta !

    ok, FORGET I mentioned the previous post, I just want to see the Vote totals as players vote. This is an existing server, and I as the player have all the maps already.

    So, I guess you went offline. I managed it to use an old laptop and here are my results :

    So it is indeed possible to see the names in the voting list. I also tried to connect with the pc of my flatmate and I also saw the 2nd name. However, my laptop crashed and I cannot provide you with a screenshot, but I saw the 2nd name including the voting result (both for the same map).

    Anyway. Let me explain how I did this :

    I used a standard installation of the dedicated server.
    I just patched it and exctract the mod into a subfolder called UTXMP

    To avoid any trouble, I did not add the -mod switch into my start line.

    This is how I started the server :

    How this is possible ?

    Simply add this into your server.ini (or whatever you call it)

    This makes it possible to use more than just one mod voteable with UT2Vote.

    Anyway, now the line in the UT2Vote ini :

    as you can see I add in the serverline and in the gamestring ?CustomGame=True.

    This actually tells UT2Vote not to overwrite any mod-specific settings.

    This is also necessary for mod which are actually have their own menuclass such as ChaosUT2Evolution (Menu for the Melee weapon).
