UT4MOD Problem

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hi guys, I joined this forum so I could seek some advice for my problem.

I run the installer, finally got it working from the registry fixer, and when I get to the destination of installation, it can't find UT2004, even though I have it in the right place.

To Be exact, it has a popup after a press Next on setup saying the following;

"BWBP-4 requires UT2004 to be installed in the folder first. Please locate the existing folder for UT2004, or exit and install it now.

You can click the web link for more information.

Product Requirement;
Product - UT2004
Version - 3169
Developer - Epic Games, Inc."

It then gives me the option to click "Ok" and takes me back to the stage where I have to locate the game.

Any ideas? Any help appreciated. :)

Get an umod extractor tool, extract this thing and copy manually over. Add in server packages if applicable, voila. :D

Thank you for your advice, I used a UMOD Extractor v2 and set to extract all the files into the destination of which my UT2004 directory is. Is this wrong? Or should I do extract it elsewhere and drag it into the directory? The way I did it didn't seem to work though.

You mentioned server packages, is that if I wanted to host a server with this mod?

To my UT2004 it is; C:\Unreal Athology\UT2004

I am trying to download Ballistic Bonus Weapon Pack 4 containing:

Animation\BWBP3-Anims.ukx
Help\BallisticGoldLogo.bmp
Help\ReadMe-BwBonus3.txt
Help\ReadMe-BwBonus3.txt
Sounds\BWBP3-Sounds.uax
StaticMeshes\BWBP3Hardware.uax
System\BWBPThree.u
System\BWBPThree.ucl
System\Manifest.ini
System\Manifest.int
Textures\BWBP3-Tex.utx

Is this what you mean't?

Thanks Wormbo, the value was 1, I have now changed it and will replace to see if it will work :)

I tried entering in the path without a space, and it said the same thing. Should I try moving the UT2004 folder somewhere easier for example on C:\ alone?

Only some parts (mostly related to the editor) have trouble with spaced path names. See if it works for you, and only mess with your installation if something doesn't work and the log suggests it might be related to the path names.

Didn't seem to work either, I tried un-installing it from Control Panel but it also said it could not locate UT2004. So I re-installed it from the disk, i'll attempt once it's complete

You need to manually remove the space from the folder name itself so it looks like "UnrealAnthology" and the problem should be fixed (fixed problems I had with UT2004Mi for me also). After you remove the space you'll need to make new shortcuts for UT2004 as well.
