Yeah, definitely looks like fun. Really fast. Like the new translocator.
Running it in low detail like this I migth be able to play it I guess. Which changes did you make?

Neo that's on high details, the maps are just that simple right now because they're going for flow before eye candy this time. It's a good thing and a bad thing I guess, it's great for FPS for now but as I saw with DM-Outpost, those super high FPS won't hold when all the details are added in on my system but by the time the game is out of alpha, I'll have upgraded my mobo and cpu so that won't be an issue.

I'm pushing nearly constant 60 FPS with all settings maxed on a 770 GTX on DM-Outpost23. If you just wanna play UT and don't care too much about the graphics, then by the time the game releases you won't really have to pay too much out the butt for a PC that can run it.

Outpost is gorgeous by the way. Really incredible how far Epic has gone with the engine. The map is a bit problematic right now, since most people are doing 7+ man on deathmatch, but Outpost is meant as, at most, a 5 player map. It has the typical swiss cheese level design, so when it's overloaded with players, it feels like a random gib fest, rather than something skill based.

Really fast.

I know I'm not the only one, but this game needs to be faster, IMO. It also needs to be less heavy. If I'm not jumping downhill, I feel like I'm 1000 pounds and jumps are basically pointless... especially with double jump now gone.

I think we should just jump a little bit higher, without going back to UT2K4 levels of air time.

Yeah, I doubt we will get to there with air time.
I think this becomes very apparent with maps like Outside, an extremely vertical map, with tons of slops. When you are running across the valley with the flag, you can't really do any dodge or jump jukes, because the slopes instantly catch you. It almost feels claustrophobic.

I agree. It's very annoying. But I guess they have to force you to "sprint" somewhere...
