My first real ctf match online with the UT4 alpha... I had no idea where I was going half the time but it was really fun.
Neo that's on high details, the maps are just that simple right now because they're going for flow before eye candy this time. It's a good thing and a bad thing I guess, it's great for FPS for now but as I saw with DM-Outpost, those super high FPS won't hold when all the details are added in on my system but by the time the game is out of alpha, I'll have upgraded my mobo and cpu so that won't be an issue.
Really fast.
I think we should just jump a little bit higher, without going back to UT2K4 levels of air time.I know I'm not the only one, but this game needs to be faster, IMO. It also needs to be less heavy. If I'm not jumping downhill, I feel like I'm 1000 pounds and jumps are basically pointless... especially with double jump now gone.
Yeah, I doubt we will get to there with air time.I think we should just jump a little bit higher, without going back to UT2K4 levels of air time.
I think this becomes very apparent with maps like Outside, an extremely vertical map, with tons of slops. When you are running across the valley with the flag, you can't really do any dodge or jump jukes, because the slopes instantly catch you. It almost feels claustrophobic.Yeah, I doubt we will get to there with air time.
I agree. It's very annoying. But I guess they have to force you to "sprint" somewhere...I think this becomes very apparent with maps like Outside, an extremely vertical map, with tons of slops.
