Introduction
This is a daily release thread for screencaptured demos of matches brought to you through YouTube. Here you will find Duel, TDM and CTF matches.
For this thread to stay alive there is a need for demo files on a regular basis. Videos will be made available frequently. Daily Duels, weekly TDM and CTF.
You may comment on professional gameplay in general, equipment, settings and other relevant things as well as name the matches you would like to see. Keep match specific comments on YouTube, don't criticize individual players on this forum.
If this thread becomes inaccessible for any reason whatsoever, there is a mirror thread on another forum.
Record
To record a demo, all you have to do is configure your UTEngine.ini file with these two alterations.
The server must support UTcomp and there is no need to type the record command. Just press F5 and tick the auto record box under misc settings.
When you had a good game, copy the latest demo file to a separate folder.
Please note that pausing the game can cause the demo to stop recording properly. Also using various mutators and custom made content other than the well known UTcomp, CBP, HOLP etc will require you to send links to those resources as well. I have most FPS, CE and LE releases of regular maps installed, so the maps themselves shouldn't be much of a problem.
Publish
When you are done playing. Take a look at the demos you selected before to make sure that they are the right ones and that they work, just for a minute at least.
Compress the demos to zip or rar using 7-Zip, WinRAR, IZArc or any other program.
Create a free account on any file sharing portal like MediaFire, FileFront, 4Shared, MegaUpload, RapidShare or DepositFiles and upload it there.
Find me on IRC #UT3PUGS or #UT3.TDM and give me the links to your demos.
When the demo is done it will be available in this YouTube channel and posted in this thread somewhere along the line.
