UT2Vote and RealUtils 1.7 RC6

    ok , ok , I know that everybody would like to see their Clan Logo before starting a game. ( RealUtils 1.7 RC6 does it perfectly)
    That's why I ask ProAsm if there is a workaround to use the both mutators running together :eek: :eek: :eek:

    hmm, i dunno about that mutator... we use Serverlogo 3 which also supports a starting sound. Works perfect and is afaik whitelisted.

    ok, i've tried it. Warmup and antifaker disabled. It seems to work...

    In fact i have serverlogo3 (it's for ut2003 i know, but it also works with ut2004) running too, so even with 2 serverlogos no probleme...

    where is the probleme?

    If we just talk about RealUtils , I'm sure it works good without ut2vote.
    Problem is to setup this realutils with ut2vote46.

    So how can I setup my ini files ??

    Hmm, you asked for a workaround, so what do you want to work around?

    i just installed it as a votable mutator and added the package in the package-section. Both in ut2vote.ini (tested with 4.8beta3). I didn't touch the ut2004.ini

    it seems to be a nice tool. Only the fake-database should work without registration and just list all usernames corresponding with an GUID...

    The forced pause for clanmatches could also be nice for the ut2vote-clanmatch ;)

    I still got a prob trying to setup the packages and the serveractors in the ut2004.ini and I was trying to workaround that by adding those lines in the ut2vote.ini .
    Btw you aswered my question saying that it works good if used as a votable mutator but is it possible to use it as a serveractor in ut2vote.ini ?
    I would like this mutator to be active all the time.
    Sorry, I'm not very clear setting up the ut2vote.ini :( :(

    a serveractor needs to be set in the ut2004.ini.

    if you can live with a mutator active all the time, add it as servermutator in the ut2vote.ini.

    the name suggests it's a ut2k3 map.

    Yeah It works perfectly with ut2vote.
    Prob seems to be with RealUtils settings in ut2vote47.ini or ut2004.ini

    I mean , I have to put a ServerPackages= mylogopkg
    in one of these ini files which corresponds to the mylogopkg.u in the system directory (a clan logo)

    How can I add this ' ServerPackages= mylogopkg ' in ut2vote ?

    maybe this can help u or someone finding the error :(

    hmm, a logo shouldn't be a *.u file but a *.utx (in textures), but i didn't check yet, how this has to be done with realutils...

    adding the package is simple:

    I realise this is an old thread,:rolleyes:
    But I am trying to use the latest version bN_RealUtilities17rc8d on my public server and having real problems.:(

    I have added it as a server mutator and added it to the Mutators and server packages list of UT2Vote5.0 with no problem.:)

    I start the server and the logo I created shows up no problem (so I know its working).:)

    However, as soon as I vote a new map or new gametype, the server crashes (but auto restarts, because of the command line). However, when it restarts the Logo is no longer there:eek:

    I also tried on my home pc (which is a windows) and had no problems, so could be a problem that the server is a Linux?:rolleyes:

    I am baffled, I will continue trying things, coz maybe it is conflicting with another mutator thats loading:(

    But in the mean time, if anyone can think of a reason for this, please help.
