Ut2k4 0 second Weapon Switching?

I was watching this video on youtube

And saw that there was no weapon switch animation going on like you'd normally. How is this possible?

Probably CompUT. Unless this is the fast weapon switching of UT2003 that I've never cared before to test or see.

The UT2003 mutator is supposed to do this I think.

No, that's a recording from from a Demo. He's using RypelCam to show the weapons on screen as Epic did not implement this. The switch times are still the same; default, but the animations are off.

It isn't perfect but it does the job.

However there is a cheat that allows you to switch weapons instantly.

It's an exploit that scrolls through all the weapons very fast before switching to the one you've intended to.
