UT2007: maybe delayed

In a Q4 2005 Midway Earnings conference call, Midway execs announce a Winter release for Unreal Tournament 2007. Keep in mind that they are the publisher and not the developer, so the progress of the game lies solely in Epic's hands. Interesting to get an insider "guesstimate".

Now the American Publisher Midway gave a more exact date with the publication of its quarter-end accounts. Therefore UT2007 will appear in the winter quarter 2007, thus in the period between December 2006 and March 2007. At least they tell their shareholders when they want UT2007 will be released. >.<

firstly, so what? So UT2007 comes out in 2007. Why the supprise? They would have called it UT2006 if it was due out this year.

secondly, Frosty: Difference? well yeah, even if only graphically (and the changes go far far deeper than that) its like quake 3 vs quake 4 or quake wars as far as visual quality goes. Personally I want to get my hands on the in editor scripting abilitys they have talked about even more than I want the excelent graphical capabilities.

Oh, I think the Krall (slave race to the Skaarj in Unreal & RTNP) are making an apperance, all UT-ified like the Clan Lord and Mekkor.

Nakhti, Necris, Juggernauts, Corrupt(Xan), Krall, Jakob's team(also called the 2k4 team ? ), Iron Guard, Twin Souls (red guys), plus the player's team, whatever that is (probably your own mish-mosh) and I thnk that's it, unless there are some they haven't told us about.
