UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2 EXISTS

Scientists today found what they believe to be Unreal Tournament 2 buried in the Permean basin just off the coast of la-la land. Although having being submerged in sea water for thousands of years, it's thought to be in excellent condition.

A spokesman was not available for comment, but allegations are already flying that all games are in actual fact scraped off the seabed where they were fashioned my eons ago by amphibious gnomes.

well its been commented on as a rumor only, which usually means theres something to it...
but then again the timing would be all off at the same time as U2 is released? i dont think so...
some ppl have been guessingthat maybe this is a converted version of UC for pcs? only time will tell...

another 2 articles on PU about this, one claiming a source from DE itself and both saying it's due for release in the third quarter of next year.

1.) Never ever call Deus Ex 2 or other games Ion Storm is developing atm (= Thief 3) craptastic again!!!!!! :cool:

2.) Romero was working at ion storm Dallas which doesn't exist any more (they did Daikatana and Anachronox), only ion storm Austin is left, they are working on the games mentioned above. I'm not sure what Romero is doing atm... isn't he working on something together with Tom Hall who had to leave Ion Storm too?

romero owns ion storm and daicatana was craptastic! so is anachronox... DE1 was ok and DE2 has to proove its goodness.

I didn't say Daikatana wasn't craptastic ;)

Anyway, Romero does NOT own Ion Storm any more... gonna look for info on what he's doing now...
