UT GOTY and UT2004 on Linux - both 32bit and 64bit

Hey, I heard that UT and UT2004 should work on Linux. Is that worth trying? I also found an installer for UT GOTY but not for UT 2004. Is there any?

How do those games work on 64bit systems? At least UT is so old that 64bit OSes didn't exist back then. I have 32bit Linux on my desktop but it has a poorly supported GPU with borked drivers that can't run most games smoothly enough.

I know this is going to sound really dumb and unhelpful but you really should invest in a new Windows OS for gaming. Every time I try to game on Linux, I just get headaches every freaking time.

How do those games work on 64bit systems?

Usually fine if you install any required 32-bit drivers.

If the worst comes to the worst, UT runs perfectly well in Wine.

I don't know about Linux but for Windows there was a 64bit patch to make UT2004 run on 64bit Windows.

Warning: You may have to get some missing dependences if you're running Ubuntu, especially if it's 64-bit.
