UT and Firewall Support

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

My nasty university has a firewall which only allows the use of 2 ports.

I have a access to a machine on the network which i can route thru.

I have a udp proxy and a socks proxy. I have tried using my udp proxy with no success. And ut seems to have no socks5 support.

any ideas?

You'd need to reroute incoming ports to the Unreal server/client, and vice-versa.

I had to do this to get a server running that was behind my NAT gateway. It works for servers. The NAT gateway takes care of the client, though (no need to manually map ports).

Unless you have access to the firewall and can set up transparent proxying of connections, you're out of luck.
