Update: Australian Server

Thanks to everyone who replied!

I'll start building the server tonight, so hopefully tomorrow we can be up and raping those sheep lovers!

FYI the system will be a Celeron 1GHz + 512MB SDRAM. (I hope this is good enough!) Bandwidth is a 4Mb/512Kb ADSL connection provided by XYZed and Optus.

Feel free to request your favourite maps by dropping me an email.

Maps, make sure you install the Infiltration Full Map Pack (about 150MB) and from that the best maps, IMO:

Exterme Prejudice

Nowich
Manor Farm
Kosovo
Atoll (just like home )

Aaargh!

I need some help here folks.

For ease I installed UT on a fresh 2K box. The server starts fine and appears in the INF browse list, but as soon as anyone connects it dies. :-(

Any ideas?

I second what he says just drop daddybone a line, almost you could try posting in the trobleshooting forum...they gots some smart folk there *ahuck*

Erf! Win2k as the server base? That's the worst platform for gameservers, unfortunately! If'n you don't need to use the box for anything else, I'd honestly rec. using WinNT 4.0 wkst... less overhead and a rock-solid gameserver base. That or linux, but right now we're having a few probs with serving INF on linux, so NT 4 / SP6a is your best bet!
