Unused announces?

Anyone noticed that there are quite a lot of interesting unused announces in UT2004? Maybe there's a way to use them again? Here's what is unused in the AnnouncerFemale2K4 pack:

Actually, noticed that half of the sounds in ONSVehicleSounds-S are unused, including the full Dixie and La Cucaracha horns! Some sounds are extremely great and unused there, like MASFailDeploy01 (should be instead of the generic beep), CoreMedDmg01 and CoreHvyDmg01 - would be possible to head how much health a core has, half of PowerNode sounds (a lot more info could be given), PRVFire02, SpiderMineDETH, all VehicleImpacts, all BodyImpacts etc. Why weren't they used?

Because they're not. In games you'll often find lots of content that was once used but later removed, but perhaps not entirely.

I know that Dark Pulse :p I mean, why didn't they complete what they did and why no one created a mod for that? Really, when a core is lightly damaged the mesh should change, the sound too etc. Same goes to 50% and Critical. And from the unused beeps a keybind playvehiclehorn 2 could be made.

Time, usually. They have all sorts of stuff planned, and then stuff goes on the chopping block because there's not enough time to polish it enough or fix bugs with it.

What's nice is that they usually leave it in for intrepid modders.

Announcer04 - Bravest? More like dumbest! You couldn't pay me to get into that arena!
Announcer05 - Well Jim, that's why we're up here, and they're down there.
Announcer06 - You can say that again!
Announcer12 - That Brock! He's about to be breaking bones inside the ring, but he can't help and stop to break a few ladies' hearts of the way.
Announcer15 - Give me a break! She's hot!
Announcer25 - Yea, I bet Gorge doesn't like it too much!
Announcer26 - I don't think Gorge like anything too much!

Super Jump was an Adrenaline combo in the UT2003 betas.

The Announcer package is all from UT, and those soundbytes are in UT as well. Several mods use those soundbytes in UT.

IntroSounds did use those somewhat randomly in 2k3, if memory serves me correctly.

It's the same package. If you do a side-by-side comparison, you'll notice the sounds are identical - they're not re-recorded at all.

Dark, I think he's talking about the announce being spread through AnnouncerClassic and AnnouncerMain? TripleKill wasn't rerecorded later, but was for UT2003. Odd.
