Man the lightning looks very close to original on those maps. Especially liked Gothic remake with raining weather (is it dynamic btw?).

They all looked interesting (although, I'm not a great fan of "my room" maps:))

I don't know if it was the field of view but the surfaces in Turbine all looked somewhat lego-style exaggerated.

Release them one by one. That way, later maps can take advantage of any feedback from the earlier maps.

Gothic looked particularly nice but if you are asking for favourite then I'd go for Lava Giant.

    I look forward to these.

Can you actually see reflections on Oblivion or is that a strange work around? I'd love to see a real time mirror image of my player. :D

They're all fairly far in development, so all should be fairly soon*

Yes it's a high resolution real time mirror - good fun!

Actually I wanted real reflections on the windows too, but even just one sent frame-rates down the drain let alone all of them!

I'd really like to, but probably not.
It took a surprisingly large amount of work and effort to make that map (for what it is). If there was 40 hours in a day..

Most dynamic background I've seen in UT3 so far..

I'm not exactly sure what you mean.. but finer details definitely look blurred out and lost in the video quality. (it's almost like a watercolor effect or something)
    Doesn't look like that in-game!

    Please see the attachment.

(And do understand that we are in the land of the very minor quibble over what is absolutely your decision!:))

I'm usually too busy dying to notice these things. The video was cool.

One question: Are you using the original textures or something like the UTRP S3TC textures? Hard to tell from the video.

Hmm....impressive...but that mirror effect..bleh...UT3 cannot do better? I mean in the original engine you just set surface either to mirror, or do something else to have the blending over effect (i forgot how now, but its one fo the options) (on highdetail actors only visible) or clean mirror effect.
But the effect you show seems the same as the portal effect at that portal gun mod for ut2004, which is not really truly realtime and is laggy.

    SCREW NEW ENGINES!

Yeah that's a nice showcase demo and I was impressed with what you've done.
I will ask this though, are they ported maps or built from scratch?

There's a BSP exporter utility made by someone. But then you have to work on exporting/importing all the textures.
Sneh, how you got the video playing on the LCD screen in House Wars?

Nice video and even nicer adaptations of classic maps. The walker on housewars is a good personal touch :p .

P.S: You should encode video in non-interlaced form though ;) .

    Link ?
