No surprise really, he also did most of the music for UT2k4. He's a pretty good composer, but I'm hoping he'll opt for a slightly different style this time and create more recognizable tunes, kinda like 'DM1' or 'Chemical-Burn', and less epicy ambient stuff, like 'Glacier' etc, which IMO was a bit bland.

I want the music to be able to tell you exactly what map you're playing even when you have your eyes closed. Basically the essence of the original music of UT, but with new-school production quality.

Riepl's been getting better, though I'd still like Michiel van den Bos.

Hopefully Epic will also throw in Starsky Partridge, who did the awesome LevelXX series Oggs.

    Old not New

KR's stuff from UT200x was ok, but I'd much prefer the style of music from UT99. Hope he get's the message...

Why, oh why! I dislike most of KR's music, although most of the stuff for the Assault maps is good. Michiel van den Bos and Alexander Brandon's UT99 stuff was much better.

If he's the guy who did the stuff for the Assault maps, then I'm a very happy campaigner. While most of the music was generic drivel, a lot of the Assault music really set the scene. :)

What I thought UT2004 lacked was calm music. Most of the stuff in it is bland action stuff that doesn't really differ from track to track. I'd like to see some UT99 style tracks including the full spectrum of emotions that it brought out in it's soundtrack.

On reflection they really need to bring van der bos and alexander brandon back, their stuff kicks ass, sure KR is good but it's not GREAT!11 Most of it sound the same, not memorable or outstanding and no of it really rocks!

Well, for all we know, the ambient stuff he produced for UT2k4 could've been by request.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind something along the lines of this tune.
