Microsoft Word is playing up. For some reason, black horizontal lines are appearing in my document. I can't delete them, but I can move them up and down the page, but only a limited distance. They move with the text and sometimes they disappear if you move them into the right place, but then come back again afterwards. They'd probably be quite useful if you could actually control where and when they appear.

Anyone know what these are and how to deal with them? They're ruining my lovely project. I've attached a mugshot of one of the offenders.

    Yes.
    That's certainly an option.

This happened to me once. It was a small document and I was impatient, so after a few minutes of trying to find out what was going on, I ended up just copying and pasting each piece of text from between the lines into a new document.

What an arse. I guess I'll have to do that. It's going to take a while, it's 9 pages.

Tray copying everything onto Notepad... then copying and pasting THAT onto a new Word doc. All you'll have to do is reformat the text.
