When you are wearing a tuxedo that is:

• White jacket
• Black trousers
• Black shoes
• Black bow-tie

Do you wear a black or white shirt?

White!

Black shirt would just look really strange, and would make the bow tie pretty much disappear. At least, when I think back to all the white suits I'd ever seen, they're always with a light-colored shirt, never black.
