I am having problems with my TNT1 card on UT it is very choppy and is unplayable at times. i tried changing video mode to Open GL it was even worse and took a very long time to load. I'm running a PII 350 with 128MB of RAM.

Can anyone help or has anyone experienced these problems.

Please help!!

i live in the UK and UT ships on Friday i want to be ready and make sure it works well before i get it.

On the demo when i set it to 16Bit colour all of the decals look bad e.g. the bullet holes have squares round them where it is supposed to be transparent.

Does this still happen in the full version?

thanks for the reply though.

I've got two PC'S with TNT1 cards in them and I have no problems with the video at all. I do run it in 16 bit color and set the skin details to medium as well as the world detail. I run it at 800 x 600 and it rocks! Go to www.glsetup.com It will get the most up to date drivers for you!

Try out the latest Detonator Driver, i think it is 3.56.
Do not disable VSync !!
Do not use DetailedTextures !!

On my Asus 3400 it works fine.

We have almost the same system! P2350,128mg ram, TNT1 16mg. One thing you didn't mention was your screen resolution, that can make a huge difference. Offline I run the UT Demo at 800X600, 16 bit color, and everything else full out. Online I do back off the texures to med. Either way, it runs great for me. And Direct3D is definately the way to go.
As far as your TNT drivers, everything I've read says that the Nvidia Detonator 2.08 drivers are the best ones available for now, I couldn't get the 3.56 to work for me (wouldn't detect my chip!) and I've heard only bad things from many other people about this set. Can't find 'em? Let me know.
There are dozens of other tweaks that can be made to a system so keep us up to date!
