Last I checked, China pretty much has America's balls in its purse, economically speaking. And though they are working some elements of capitalism into their economy, they are not by any stretch of the imagination a capitalist nation.

And an economic system (communism) is neither for nor against "human rights". It doesn't address them, because it's a form of economy, not a social system or government in itself. Just because you don't want to see economic systems other than what you've been indoctrinated into since day one doesn't mean they don't exist. There are plenty of people who live in tribal and communal environments that manage to get by alright.

Acting like someone is inherently bad or undesirable because they have different ideas on how to run an economy than you do is absurdly childish.

Communism- characterized by state ownership of productive resources in a planned economy and sweeping campaigns of economic restructuring such as nationalization of industry. The model is either state socialism or state capitalism. (did you hear that last one?) If you study the political economy of communism you will find freedoms going out the window. The biggest being the freedom of choice, which is almost always a non-exist right or at least a extremely controlled right. The entire choices people make become nothing more then something to control for the government. Even their minds and actions are controlled by the state and all that go against the governments decisions almost always in these societies face punishments that could go up to death. . It is not childish to see the truth of what these societies bring from history. It is childish to ignore the history of these types of societies and think when you do it the results will be different.

Don't talk of what you don't understand. Conservatives are about preserving liberties, freedoms, rights given to us by the constitution of this country. It is true we are against abortion but on the understanding that it kills life. We are fundamentally against the forcing of anything.

Gay marriage and the war on drugs. I call that imposing their will on others.

Lets have some fun. How many states allowed their people to vote on the gay rights issue? 21. Now, how many of those states passed it when the people voted? None. All the times in super majority I might add. Which is why the gay movement wants it in the hands of the government because they know the people hate the idea. So tell me, if the people are against it and you support the state coming in and telling people to accept it how exactly is that you not imposing will on others.

The war on drugs was like several things today like global warming a fear campaign on the country. It brought people of all political opinions to be against drugs. Liberals were affected in masses just like conservatives, and just like republicans. Time has gone by and all groups still have effects of it left in there ranks. Time is however healing the scare.
