as we all know theres a period(somewhere around teenage to early adult hood) that Jesus was never mentioned in the Bible. So what do you think was going on in his life during that time?

Exactly. His ministry didn't begin until he hit His early thirties so the time between birth / early childhood to the beginning of His ministry must not be that important for God to tell us about it.
very possible, but you have to remember that mortal hands wrote the Bible. and maybe they left that chapter of his life out of the finished product for a reason....or maybe they didnt write that chapter to begin with?

Oh crap. I don't want this to turn into another debate. But, Christians believe that the Bible was physically written by human hands, but the words were inspired by God. God was basically telling them what to write. God would not have allowed them to write something that He did not want to be written. That is what we believe. If we thought that it wasn't the truth, the Bible would be crap.

Jesus was teaching in temples when he was 12...

and I just saw a show on the learning channel suggesting he was in india learning budhism...the "theory" was based on a russian writer swearing he had seen "secret" documents at a temple in the himalayas...they had to be "secret" of course, so no one else could see them to verify or disprove his tale...

...I saw elvis in williamsport the other day too...in a "secret" coffee shop...I swear!!

i agree Fuzz, I'm not wanting to get into a flame war over the validity of the Bible. I'm just wanting to point out humas do make mistakes and it might mot be word for word the way god intended. And I believe in jesus 100%..........

Perhaps nothing of any note happened. He could have been meditating, reading, travelling, etc. The only way I think this thread will move on is if someone finds some scriptural proof. Unfortunately, it could probably be interpreted several ways. Anyway, you could check the edges of this hole.

I very much doubt that... why 4 evangelia? Why do they describe events differently? And where's a hint god "practically told them what to write"?
