My oldest sister is 17 (I have another sister who is 7 months old).

She's mad on Trance and the whole club scene. I listened to the mp3, I didn't recognise the songs even though I recognised the names. I think they all sound too similar, and the transition fades between tracks could be improved. The beats were also a little weak, needs more bass.

Like I said, I'll get my sister to listen to them.

I get my vinyls at Strictly Dance, a dancestore here in Gent (Belgium)...

I spin with 2 JB-Systems HQ30 D's and a JB-Systems Beat 4 Mixer. I know it's not Technics and Rodec, but hey, you've got to start somewhere, and if you aint got the money you aint got the goods...

The old records are republished here in belgium on Club System Gold Edition, which are 6 vinyls with each 3 "classics from the early days" on them. I got the first 4.

Other vinyls are bought in the past three months... I have 31 vinyls now, but that makes up for about 45 songs or so (not remixes, if I add those I'm over 60 or so)...

I'm spinning the wheels of steel for about 3 months now.

Greetz!

btw: that "fluffy is scared of unrealmonster"thingy is getting old... ... well, let's say Gandalf-old... And about being noob, I just don't play UT that much anymore... I've moved on to new things in life, like music (Dj'ing and producing) and Real Life (tm)

I'll give it a listen as the tracklist looks pretty decent ;) A bit too much PVD though lol, I've grown too tired of his sound I guess.

I'm more of a GOA/PSY nut than your typical 'Fluffy' trance ie: PVD, Tiesto, G&D etc. If you wanna check out my style, I've got a mix you can d/l too: PSYclones - mixed by THC.

Since you've only had your gear for one month, I have to say this is quite a good effort.

Your transitions need a bit of polish, some are too long, some a bit too short, and a couple songs were just mixed in the wrong place. But on the positives, there were some really good mixes as well. The mix into Sara M was nearly perfect. You definitely sound like you need some practice, but within a year you'll be throwing down some great sets.

hmm 3 months ;)

yeah I know my transitions are sometimes too long, that's because I love beatmixing, or sometimes I miss a break so the beat goes on (bob sinclar yay) and then when the beats comes back from the other song, it's out of sync...

have to work on the beatmatching ;)

in a while I'll get myself some techno/hardtek, I want to try something different :p and thereafter I'll broaden my drum&bass collection :)

I'm going to spin a set then with al genres in it => first the slow trance, then my bit harder trance, => hardtrance => techno => hardtek => drum&bass

I aim for about 6 hours mixing then :)
