Based on a book by the 'famous' Dutch writer Harry Mulisch.
With real actors such as Stephen Fry (instead of Dutch actors trying to speak English ;)).

plot :
'there is no free will, everything has been
Man's free will is pitted against celestial interference in this action-packed saga set in Europe in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Best friends Max and Onno are both besotted with Ada, who doesn't know which one is the father to her otherworldly son Quinten. Love, lust, politics and religion swirl around down on Earth as the angels up above unleash a series of cataclysmic, destiny-skewing events.

At fl 35345,- per theater it managed to attract a bigger audience than 'Jurassic Park' (which made fl 27 519,-) here.

Has anyone seen it yet ?

Mullsich sucks, it's usually porn very cleverly disguised as literature or am i mixing up my writers here? In any case he's not my favourite... that one is still Frank Herbert.

I don't know, but almost every Dutch movie seems to end up as a thinly (I won't call it clever, since we almost always know what to expect ;)) disguised porn-movie :
- Spetters
- Een vlucht regenwulpen
- De vierde man
- De lift (re-made as 'Down' recently)

In any case he's not my favourite... that one is still Frank Herbert.
I think we haven't got any Dutch Fantasy/SciFi authors that are worth reading.
