To get an avatar in there, go to profile, then "Edit Options" and go right down to the bottom.

yeah 40 char max for url images? can we get more or do you guys know of free webhosting that does not have such a long url?

Theres a 40 character limit for your title, which is where it looks like you're putting your image address. It's not the same for the avatar.

Ehhh, what? You dont need a whole URL to use an avatar, just save the image you want somewhere and then do what deathwing described.
