    It honestly astounds me how the energy company could be so completely clueless and heartless. I can't say that I agree with the general anti-nuke attitude that people have (it is certainly dangerous when things go very wrong, but in the long run it is significantly LESS dangerous than burning fossil fuels and it is more reliable/large scale/affordable than renewables), but the actions of TEPCO have been abysmal at best.

    Not a problem, just make sure you get the right equipment, then pick it up and deposit it in buildings of the TEPCO company and it's managers. It's theirs as soon as it hits the ground, right?

    It really is. If this were just them sweeping something under the rug, I could see that. But this was the most important Nuclear accident in decades, this isn't something people are forgetting about and to very publicly try and pawn off responsibility for their mess is completely absurd. It makes no sense. It's like they WANT more restrictive and oppressive laws and regulations put on themselves.
