I'm currently modeling a TEC-9 pistol, but the only picture I can find is on securityarms, and it really isn't conducive to effective modeling.

Does anyone have any pics or diagrams of the gun?
What I'm looking for is details on the heat shroud, cocking lever, ejection port, and sights.

Also, any pics you might have that'll help me texture it later on.

Here's what I have so far, the only thing done is the lower reciever.

Yeah, but SF's Tec-9 fires full automatic =/. the Tec-9, as it stands, is a fairly poor semiauto pistol. Its ONLY advantage is its relative cheapness.

I just checked out the strikforce TEC-9, it turns out they just pasted the security arms pic on the model and called it a texture.

Its pretty funny when you think about it, they didn't even clean up the dent on the magazine, or the glare from the camera flash.

Has anybody else noticed that the SF Glock 19 supposedly fires .45 ammunition, and that the SG552 is classified as a 'submachinegun'?
Weak.

You know what's weak? That you didn't notice their Tec-9 was also in the SMG class. But hey, they're a fledgling mod, and they don't have that many people with them, so let them be. At least they're original, and that's all that matters -- they're not trying to make Infiltration here.

I always thought it was possible to convert the TEC-9 to full-auto............................
Also, TO's Glock 21 fires 3 round bursts. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

SF is O-tay in my book but I'm not touching it until they get rid of that damned loading program.

Here's a pic of my as yet incomplete tec-9 low poly model.

bah

Tec9 is a POS pistol, and people use it cause they saw it "The Matrix" and I bet SF team thought it was full auto, because in the matrix when he fired it, it was put it slow motion, and they must have gotten the idea that in normal speed that gun is full auto, yet its a semo auto crap gun that no CT team would ever use.

Well, don't that beat all, my model looks like shit compared to that thing hovering over my post.

Oh, and BTW I'm a big fat hypocrite, I used the security arms picture to slap together a quick-fix skin.

I don't know what my "second model ever"(tm) will be, but I'll definitely put more than 2 days work into it this time.

frankly the Tec-9 is garbage.
A buddy of mine had one, his was always well cared for and you still couldn't get through an entire clip without it jambing.

Plus it's not the most accurate 9mm either.

The Tec-9 does seem appropriate for TO, since terrorists might have one, but I don't think it has a place in Inf.

all that said, your model looks good though /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

ENOUGH! Okay, I've been sarcastic and stuff plenty. I've already told them plenty of times the tec-9 can't fire full auto without a conversion kit (in fact, the TEC DC-9 is fully capable of firing full auto -- that is, if jamming is your thing.) Yeah, so Strike Force goes alot for the hollywood touch? So what? Not everybody wants to play a hyper realistic game like Infiltration. I like Infiltration because it gives me my action with alot of realism. I like Strike Force and Counter-Strike because they give me my action with just a touch of realism. Plenty of times we're conditioned on what we see in hollywood, and these guys are no different -- so what, big deal, their game plays like a hollywood action movie... how many times have I seen .223 shells being ejected from a 9mm gun because they were more photogenic in movies?

Fuck, maybe its the alcohol talking, but lay off. Constructive criticism for a game isn't really constructive if you offer it in an unrelated forum simply to make inflammatory remarks regarding somebody else.

Not to revive yet another thread so thoughfully struck down by Mojo, here are the pics of my renovated tec-9. Quite a big improvement if I do say so myself.

It ended up at around 320 polys. If all goes well, you'll be able to play with the tec9 and the FA-MAS I've modelled in an up and coming coming mod nobody's even heard of...

YET.
