UE3 - UT3 Talented Unreal Scripters required for "MSUC"

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Welcome on the thread,

Engine:
Unreal Engine 3 - Unreal Tournament 3

Available positions:
Unreal Scripters [1 to 3 scripters]

We are searching for a talented Unreal Scripters to handle Gameplay Mecanics, Health System, particular game systems, interactive Menus [similarities with BattleRPG] & Gametypes for a solid Unannonced Game Prototype for the "Make Something Unreal Contest".

in other terms;
* Works with other team members to well integrate the new gameplay techniques and develops estimate of time required for those tasks
* Develops, implements, and debugs code for various gameplay features (player control, weapons, implementing visual effects, UnrealScripting, etc.)

The game is all about Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, CTF and Assault [place the bomb]. You start the game, select your equipment at the start or in the menus what modify your possible strategies and get ready to jump into the action.

It's a multiplayer FPS game that brings the Core Gameplay Mecanics to the next level, the next level of fun! We bring cool player movements, Close-Quarter-Combat, Shooting and the use of gadgets to life.

"Feel free to ask us questions, but please avoid useless posts like "do it yourself"... it's a game development with a Dev Team not a one man army and a card game.

My best regards,

Hyrage
Lead Designer

It might help if you elaborate on your ideas and in which way you will be contributing to the mod. Coders don't like vague formulations like bringing something "to the next level".

It's an action game with deeper gameplays than just run and jump & with RPG elements what includes unlocking various stuff.
Something across Unreal Tournament 3, Call of Duty 4 and Advent Rising (wtf!!?).

Other than that, the concepts are for the Dev Team only and not going to be publicly annonced until we get our Beta Game Prototype done.

We are very serious and we do care about getting a UE 3.0 license to later make a commercial usage of this Game Prototype, a future AAA title.

Still, who is "we"?

David Mercier // Co-Lead Designer of the Project
His main job is the to improve the Game universe what includes, ideas, stories, character relationships and a few other RPG elements. Entirely self-taught and have a strong general culture.

Guillaume Cloutier // Environmental Artist & Level Designer
He is actually our Lead Environmental Artist. He is quite young and experienced as much as he his devoted and talented, he has been invited in the past by Cliffy B to work on UT 2004 back in the days, but he was too young to relocate himself at that time. Personnaly, I would strongly recommend that guy to any Professional Dev Team. He is entirely self-taught.

Christian Philippe "Hyrage" Guay // Lead Designer: Game Designer & Level Designer
The Conception of the Game Prototype has been in the work for a long time. Now the Game Design Document is mostly finished. I'm well experienced with Hammer [Half-Life 2 Engine] and experienced with Unreal Engine 3. I graduated from the Game/ Level Design Formation at the Ubisoft Campus, I got my main culture from my actual, various and past competitive gaming, dungeons and dragon master, film industry [live & editing], martial arts, Online Game Forums & visual arts experiences. I'm also entirely self-taught, but I got my papers to prove the skills I had... kinda like doing twice the paths.

"It's a sci-fi action game (FPS) with various roles that you can take depending of the way you want to play the game with the tools you choose, there is no classe. For sure, we include weapons, various quick items & Close-Quarter-Combat."

---------------------------

When we will need Level Designers for our game, we will only ask for the best among the community, but we want something strongly playable first and it requires scripters.

So please, try to avoid that kind of post here.
I haven't ask anywhere "how to script". If I'm not scripting that Game, there are reasons. If you don't want to work on that project, simply do not post here.

If you have any questions, I would be pleased to answer.
