Click on the profile button for the person you wish to ignore. At the bottom of the profile are two links, one to add the person to your 'buddy list' and the other to ignore the member. After you click on the ignore link all of that persons posts are replaced with a notice that you are ignoring that poster with a link to the post if you really feel like you want to read it.

Hello, genius. Anything you do in life is, in the end, pointless. That doesn't mean you shouldn't stand up for your beliefs.

Welcome to the real world, enjoy your stay.

Trak: PlanetUnreal calls them forums in several different places (right under the text you pointed out, for example), and the thread "Infiltration Forum Guidelines" says just that.

Mason: Just because it's so doesn't make it right... aside from libel and slander, I am strongly opposed to censorship of the media (and I'd assume mojo is, too). And there was another definition I left out, too: a court of law. A forum can mean many things, but that doesn't mean this forum can be considered a court of law, or a public square of an ancient Roman city. IMHO, definition #1.B., and maybe #2 are the only ones that apply here.

    Bad.Mojo:

Please do not cross-post. Choose a thread to make your post in, and stick with it, or come up with something new to say if you want to post in several threads about similar topics.

Please explain to me where in this definition it defines that "Public" is a term that does not allow order, supervision, and policing (moderation).

And a mapping union does exist in the Infiltration community: it's called "The Build Team (TBuildT)". If you think thy're anything remotely like nazis, you seriously need your head examined.

Deadeye Dan : You do have a point. It still dosn't mean that rules don't apply. It's a forum, it's a message board, it's a bulletin board. You can call this thing we post on by a lot of different names. It still dosn't change the fact that when you or I register an account we click on that 'I agree' button.

Donnelizer : WTF happened to you man? I remember when you first started coming around here you were a nice person that just wanted to join in the conversation. Now 99% of what I see from you are flames. You replace your old anime sig with one that is abrasive, stupid and offensive. Oh wait, I know what happened. SOMEONE influenced you into thinking this kind of behaviour is cool and is what this community is all about.

"Please explain to me where in this definition it defines that "Public" is a term that does not allow order, supervision, and policing (moderation)."

It doesn't. My point is that public is the opposite of private. A forum is by definition a public place, and thus cannot be privately owned. So IMHO, if this place is to be considered a forum, moderation (edit: not including moving threads) should indeed be considered censorship. If it is just a message board, then Zundy's argument about property rights applies.

Deadeye, thank you for pointing out that Planetunreal refers to them as forums. I already posted this arguement in the mojo for moderator thread, but Hand and Mason would accuse me of cross posting and reaching if I reitirated it.

No Trak, the only person ignoring things around here is you. If you read the Mojo for Moderator thread, you'll notice that Zundfolge already says Planetunreal OWNS the Infiltration "message boards," thereby effectively making them PlanetUnreal forums. Oh, and look at the top of your browser. See the title of the page? I see it. It says "PlanetUnreal Forums." Who's ignoring what now, you filthy hypocrite?

Hand, first of all, Phatcat's reference to a mapping union was related to SF, not Infiltration, so your arguement about TbuildT absolutely does not apply. Second off, I was mocking Phatcat's arguements that groups = nazis. He was saying the BMA would be Nazish (just because I wouldn't let him join, because as we see here he's a disrespectful cu<i></i>nt who thinks he can get away with his stupidity because he acts childish and naive.) So, again, your arguement falls flat on its face. I think both these examples conclusively prove you don't read what's posted but just skim over, not paying any attention, and then try to make others sound ignorant.

Thanks for the advice on getting my head checked out. While I'm there, I'll also get my penis checked out. I think I have chlamydia, cause every time I pee I get this terrible burning sensation and blood shoots every like fu<i></i>cking snot man, its some ill sh<i></i>it.

Trak, you know who "influenced" Don? Balli. Balli was the one who posted that shirt that Don now uses in his sig. Don't try to dump that sh<i></i>it on me just because you're ignorant and don't know the facts. Do some fu<i></i>cking research you lump of benign flesh. Besides, he's going to be influenced one way or another, right? Why not have him be influenced by people who at least stand for freedom, instead of just preaching the sh<i></i>it but making excuses not to practice it. You may notice (or you may not, you 500 pound sacks of sh<i></i>it have a habit of not reading anything that might remotely prove you wrong or break your crusty, grease-coated hearts) that my IRC channel has absolutely no ops, and I've openly spat on the idea of being a moderator. I have no interest in power. If Zundfolge or Keiichi or Hand of Darkness or I Abuga or Dark Bls (who said that... ah hell, read the bottom line of my sig...) TRULY believed in freedom, and freedom of speech and expression, they would rebuke the moderator status.

Mason, it says "newspapers"... it doesn't say ALL newspapers. See, this is something else that never happened around here either. I never had to explain implied english to a bunch of people who actually have the gall to call me stupid. Obviously not all newspapers are forums, moron. Otherwise they would be called as such. Look at the definition given again: <i>A medium of open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper or a radio or television program. </i> Obviously if they're not mediums of open discussion but are still newspapers, radio programmes, or television shows, <i>they don't count as a forum</i> you fu<i></i>cking moron. I long for the days when I can get back to having funny and intelligent conversations with people instead of attempting to explain the subtle nuances of insinuation and such to people.

Phatcat, you're kind of stupid, I know, so I'll go slow with you. Follow this line if you can... if The Wave applies to the BMA, then it applies to all newly formed groups (such as the BMA is,) because you have yet to see anything we do (other than make fun of you, because you're a disrespectful childish idiot who throws tantrums and tries to make other people look bad cause they wouldn't let him play kickball with them because he spit in their yogurt yesterday.) Now fu<i></i>ck off son, not only are you a waste of my time, you're a waste of brain cells. Your constant posting of the Wave is a clearly childish attempt to get back at me because your "test of the BMA failed." Would you post the Wave to clan members? Oh, no, they're having fun in-game, so that's different. Oh wait, in my original post for the BMA recruitment drive, I already said we'd play online too... hmm, so it can't be that. And it can't be the "having fun part," because not even you are so stupid as to call people who have fun a bunch of nazis. It can't be the forums, cause you post here too. Lets see, we know its not groups, fun, or forums. The only logical conclusion left is your lard ass threw a temper tantrum because (as the logs prove) I wouldn't let you into the BMA even though you thought it was "good for the community" and how you supported it and stuff. You're a cancer on this community. You're every goddam n00b that's ever managed to sneak past the gate and onto these forums with every single new release of infiltration, and just because you've learned to hide your idiocy and disrespect behind a childish guise of innocent, playful naivete, doesn't mean I don't see right through it. God, you're so underdeveloped mentally and maturity-wise I thought you were <i>younger</i> than Keiichi... I would never, EVER have guessed you were my age, and frankly, now I want to kill myself because you are. Because if I can be 20 and socially aware, and you can be 20 and socially retarded, this doesn't bode well for people hitting the two-decade mark. I know a 16 year old girl who is better developed mentally and emotionally (not to mention physically) than you.

Well, at least Fur was right. Most people are stupid and can't read between the lines. Sorry Fur, you were right buddy, I was wrong. I'll make sure I never have faith in anybody again.

hrmm... don't think I got that Mojo :hmm:

    could you repeat it slower?

    prehaps backwards?

    also in German?

    heh...

and as for the BMA, I knew it was not a "for the community" orginization (if you can really call it a orginization, more like a mob with a fancy name)

And as for being "socially retarded" thats your opinion
and I'm really sorry you feel that way. I'll try to give a damn about what you think sometime... never :D

IMO : your just a long winded 20 yearold, who gets his jollies from posting things that you think : "irritate, inflame, anger, and disturb" people online.

now that thats over, would you like me to "tap-out" or let you "win" :D

    *sigh*

Mojo, you sure make it hard to even sit on the fence, much less post anything that supports your arguments. Chill out a little... you're reply to Mason, for example, would have been a near perfect, pretty much un-counterpoint-able debunking, if it weren't for the "moron" and "f<b></b>ucking moron" comments. That shi<i></i>t just makes you look bad, IMHO.

I would find Mojo's post decent, but his lack of respect for those he argue with...

oh well, I can't do anything about his ego :p

I can argue with Rouge Leader, becasues we never really get to the point of calling eachother "fu*k'n dumbass" ect.

I think I went on a 4 page rant where me and Rouge Leader bitched about our views on software piracy. sure none of us really one :D but it was fun, and I still think that Rouge is a pertty good guy (not great however :p)

Sorry, even if he didn't call me names, I could still refute his post. The definition in question states:A medium of open discussion or voicing ideas such as a newspaper, radio, or television program. On each of the mentioned mediums, there are oppurtunities for open discussion, thus I consider them all forums for public opinion, for the most part(there are always exceptions). You are right, the definition says 'newspapers'. It implies that ALL newspapers are basically public forums..obviously this isn't always the case, but it is true enough in most instances that my comparison is valid. Oh, but you don't agree with me, therefore I must be wrong..my bad.

You still are trying to divert attention from the fact at hand, you agreed to be a member of these forums, therefore you agreed to abide by the rules set forth by 'those in charge'. At some point you clicked that 'I agree' button...you cannot refute that. These 'areas' are called both 'message boards' and 'forums', but the bottom line is that they are just WORDS, and often times words are used in places that maybe aren't the most appropriate, oh frickin' well.

I understand, Mojo, you apparently have a problem with anyone in a position of authority over you, therefore you lash out at ALL authority. It's not uncommon and there's nothing inherently wrong with that, it's OK, c'mon everyone, group hug.:D

Hey Mojo, you're partially right. I don't completely understand everything you said. However, it is not because I "skim over" the posts, but rather because I don't go through and read every post again to keep fresh on every little tidbat that has been said. I'm sorry, I just don't have the time to re-read and re-read these 8 pages of postings every time I want to post. Sorry, but I don't live to take part in your arguments. I have better things to do.

Fight the authority all you want. You won't get rid of it. No matter what, these forums (yes, I call them forums) are private. You can argue that the word "Forum" is defined as a "public" place until you are blue in the face. The fact of the matter is that those who are in charge of these forums have decided to call this place that despite this being under their control. Whether the use of the term is correct or not doesn't matter. Argue that it is a gross misuse of the english language, the fact is that it doesn't negate the fact that these are their forums under their rules.

Many companies call their products "Fat Free" but then specifically place on the label that there is "0.7% fat". It's a lie. Misuse of the word "free". It doesn't change the fact that there is 0.7% fat in the product however.

Make no mistake, this place (like most other online forums) is a dictatorship. We are all bound by the rules of those in charge. You don't like it, tough shit. Just be thankful that our dictator (I'm sure he won't like being called that) is alot more understanding than others.

<i>and as for the BMA, I knew it was not a "for the community" orginization (if you can really call it a orginization, more like a mob with a fancy name)</i>

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure you did Phatcat. Oh, that's right, "you were just testing us." And, gee Phatcat... when did you plan on posting the results of this test for everybody to see? Since you "knew it was not a 'for the community' orginization (sic)" all along, what would be the point on testing us then? That's sort of like looking at a thermometer in the pool, seeing its below freezing, and then jumping in to see if its cold. So, we know you knew all along it wasn't a good idea, so why did you come test us? I didn't see you posting any logs or any paraphrasing that said "Here's proof Mojo's group isn't good." Face it, you came in there and honestly and openly said the BMA sounded like a good idea, and now you're throwing a tantrum cause even when your disrespectful little ass (I guess the words 'little' and 'ass' don't go together well when describing you) tried desperately to suck me off, I still rejected you. Face it, I'm Jesus and you're Satan, nothing you can do or try to do will ever get you good in my books ever again.

<i>And as for being "socially retarded" thats your opinion
and I'm really sorry you feel that way. I'll try to give a damn about what you think sometime... never

Hey, PhatPhuck. Here's an idea. Next time you tell somebody their opinion is invalid because its just that, don't offer up your opinion as the very next wannabe insult in the sequence of pathetic events that make up your life. Most people are too damn stupid to notice if you put one part at the start, and one at the end. But when you group them together like that, you truly and honestly look like a fu<i></i>cktard.

IMO : You're just a childish 20-year-old who gets his jollies by posting things that you think rule: "tentacle rape, devil penis rape, latent pedophilia, soiled panty pics," all because you have some retardation caused by the fact that after 20 years, the only ti<i></i>its you've ever seen are the ones staring back at you in the mirror.

<i>Mojo, you sure make it hard to even sit on the fence, much less post anything that supports your arguments. Chill out a little... you're reply to Mason, for example, would have been a near perfect, pretty much un-counterpoint-able debunking, if it weren't for the "moron" and "****ing moron" comments. That **** just makes you look bad, IMHO.</i>

My points still are near perfect and uncounterable, whether or not I insult him. Oh, and please don't say "IMHO"... there's no such thing as a humble opinion. Or an honest one, for that matter.

<i>Sorry, even if he didn't call me names, I could still refute his post. The definition in question states:A medium of open discussion or voicing ideas such as a newspaper, radio, or television program. Oh, but you don't agree with me, therefore I must be wrong..my bad.</i>

Check the definition again, Mr. Wizard. I'll bold, italicise, surround with asterisks, capitalise, underline, and strike through the important letter like so many flashing neon signs that you fu<i></i>cktards need to draw your attention, so it'll sink into your spongy head: A medium of open discussion or voicing ideas such as <i><b><strike>***A***</i></b></strike> newspaper, radio, or television program.

Yeah, that's right. A newspaper. A. Singular. One. One in many. <i><b><strike>***A***</i></b></strike> single newspaper that is open and public to discussions, out of many that are not. Whoops, looks like your comparison is wrong after all. See? I didn't agree with you, and you <i>were</i> wrong. Let that be a lesson to you all.

<i>You still are trying to divert attention from the fact at hand, you agreed to be a member of these forums, therefore you agreed to abide by the rules set forth by 'those in charge'. You still are trying to divert attention from the fact at hand, I agreed to a set of forum rules <i>three fu<b></b>cking forums ago</i>. This is not the same forum software, server, or domain name I agreed to them on. As I said, if Bob owns forum software z on server 1 at xxx.yyy.com, and I agree to his rules there, it does not mean I have agreed to his rules on forum software c on server 2 at aaa.bbb.com. I've explained this already, I think, but it seems to fly right over everybody's head. Furthermore, just for the sake of arguement. I also agree, technically, to live in Canada. But if anybody said to me, "you don't have the right to bitch about our laws, because you choose to live here," I think pretty much everybody would laugh in their face. You are also diverting attention from another matter. Most of the moderators who preach freedom and democracy forget that dissent with rules is a legitimate and should-be encouraged practice of democracy, a point they've yet to address (they conveniently have skipped over it every time) because it may threaten their power or their credibility. To say on these forums/message boards/whatever that democracy is important, our rights are important, blah blah blah, and then say "well tough about the rules, you agreed to them," is as stupid as a man telling his wife how terrible spanking is while simultaneously bending his kid over his knee.

Now, take Zundfolge for example. I could easily say "you choose to live in the United States, and therefore you choose to abide by their laws. You agree that you have duly elected officials, and if these officials wish to take away all guns, then those are the rules you chose to live by." Zundfolge would flip out, of course, saying this is a stupid arguement, blah blah blah... Whatever. But in essence, this is the very same arguement which he first used against me (and which you're all desperately latching on to, I see,) and when I turned it against him, and in fact, against all of you, nobody addressed it. Funny, I think. For somebody as "wrong" as I am, you'd figure you'd therefore be able to come up with a valid counterpoint, yet its an issue you've been dodging over and over. Thankfully, a simple solution of copying and pasting this paragraph into every single response I ever make on this subject will ensure that people see everybody shies away from this fact, until I do finally get a valid counter-point.

But the bottom line is, the United States Constitution is just WORDS, and if they were used improperly, oh well, fu<i></i>ck that piece of paper. NO SELF EVIDENT TRUTHS! NO LIBERTY FOR ANYBODY! NO FREEDOM! KEEP SLAVES! EAT YOUR CHILDREN! CENSOR EVERYTHING! 'Cause hey, its just words.

<i>I understand, Mojo, you apparently have a problem with anyone in a position of authority over you, therefore you lash out at ALL authority. It's not uncommon and there's nothing inherently wrong with that, it's OK, c'mon everyone, group hug.</i>

You are right and wrong on this point. Authority isn't what troubles me, honestly. We have authorities on the Holocaust, authorities on the Roman empire, authorities on hell... everything important, really. What bothers me is people holding more power than other people. People ruling other people through fear of the use of power rather than a mutual respect. And, let's see, when somebody like Prophetus jumps into the arguement against me (and therefore with the moderators like Zund, Keiichi, Hand, et al) and threatens to ban the entire BMA (he says the BMA is stupid because its a forum group. I noticed he has PuF [Planetunreal Forumers] next to his name... interesting. I guess he's calling himself stupid for us.) anyways, when somebody threatens to ban the entire BMA because of the actions of one, and only one member, and does so siding with the moderators (and I didn't exactly see ANY moderator telling Prophetus he was wrong to do so, immediately bloodying their hands as much as his, because, yes children, a failure to act is an action of itself, especially when that person is siding with you. If you don't condemn it, and they're siding with you, then obviously you condone it...) So, as I was saying, such is a perfectly example of the petty abuse of power that I fear, and since the moderators obviously sided with Prophetus by not distancing themselves from his opinion (they even admit that they answer to him, further tightening their relationship) then there is plenty to fear from the moderators as well.

<i>Hey Mojo, you're partially right. I don't completely understand everything you said. I have better things to do.</i>

If you don't read over the entire arguement, I don't see a point in posting a reply then. Obviously the only reason you would do this is in an attempt to make your point look valid while simultaneously attempting to fill the posts with as many replies as possible to make my more valid points (which take everybody's arguement into consideration) appear disjointed or scrolled over by those with a lesser attention span. Nice tactic, but since I can address it every time, it <i>will</i> ultimately fail.

<i>Fight the authority all you want. You won't get rid of it. No matter what, these forums (yes, I call them forums) are private. No, but it also doesn't change the fact that they (and you) are wrong to do it.

Since my entire point was that this place was a dictatorship, seems I didn't make a mistake after all.

Oh, and since you openly admit here: ( http://forums.planetunreal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80414&perpage=30&pagenumber=5 )

<i>As Zundfolge pointed out, as moderators we act as a team: we are all equals, and we all answer to Warren, the INF team, and the P Forum Admins. We screw up, and we get disciplined. If you don't think that's the case, talk to Warren. He put us all in our place shortly after we were instated, after numerous complaints from members directly to his mailbox. And Prophetus has messaged us on several occasions regarding dealings with this community.

Moderators, on the other hand, were appointed and given the blessing of Warren and the Infiltration team. They work in unicine with the Infiltration team itself (who are the founders and leaders of this community), as well as the Administrators of the forums to ensure things run smoothly and members enjoy their time here (by keeping things organized, offering a dedicated source for forum related assistance, and for settling disputes).</i>

as well as several other places that I'm to lazy to find (although you mention Prophetus specifically in the first quote, mentioned HIM messaging YOU about the goings-on of this community [despite the fact that he said this community was our house before and that he rarely came in here... liar]) that your 'dictator' is Prophetus, and since Prophetus said this:

<i>Mark my words Bad Mojo. The first person (by your definition: "Idiot" and "n00b") you or any member of BMA runs out of this forum will be met with a final ban of yourself and every member of BMA. If BMA thinks they can take that responsibility into your own hands and out of the moderators', then BMA will taste their own medicine. Nothing will bring you or other BMA members back.

    PS.

And I do mean every member of BMA. After all, you all consider yourselves as one entity. Solidarity cuts both ways. One member who acts upon BMA's guidelines will crucify the rest.</i>

In this thread: http://forums.planetunreal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80551&pagenumber=2 , I suggest you re-evaluate your standards of "understanding," Hand. Nothing you can say or do will convince me the Infiltration team does not answer to the PU site and its admins. I know they do because I too have had a site on PlanetUnreal, and have experienced their censoring tyranny first hand. During the TacOps thingy, despite the official excuse being "Pacman's (supposed) racism" (to which they offered ZERO proof, not even a backup of any such pages they supposedly keep,) my column on the Redeemer was taken down as well. It had a link to my review of TacOps (then called SWAT) which was incredibly, well, unfavourable towards it. My review also disappeared. Pacman's column ALSO disappeared, and it too had remarks about SWAT being not that great. Interestingly enough, absolutely nothing else of ours disappeared whatsoever, not my interview with Warren, not my review of Strike Force, not any map reviews. Only stuff with "bad" references to TacOps. Interesting that a PU site admin (rojazz) was also working for TacOps at the time. When we finally got our site back, the HTML was heavily edited. I got my column back, but it was mysteriously missing the link to the SWAT review, which had mysteriously disappeared altogether. I resigned in protest. (Note: no excuses again about PU being private property. I know FOR A FACT that when I got my @planetunreal.com email address, and my FTP access, I agreed to NOTHING. I sent them an email stating who I was and what I did, I got an email back with my account passwords. No agreement to click on or nothing.)

I just want you all to remember, the BMA stands for the freedom of <i>everybody</i>. I certainly don't want to be called a neo-nazi skinhead, but I'll stand up for their right to say what they want. Hell, I'd <i>die</i> for it. If any of you manage, on the extremely off chance, to destroy the BMA, and you get banned and damned by the rules and user agreement that you so advocated, we won't be there for you.

Prophetus sez: <i>Here you go, Bad.Mojo! Some nice yellow felt stars for you and the BMA to wear. Ooh... you look dirty, how about a shower?</i>

Mojo, I think the only way you will achieve complete freedom for everyone is to start your own forums.

Already working with that angle, DLL. Good thoughts though, glad somebody's operating on the right wave length -- but still, you gotta fight the good fight.
