The following is a purely exaggerated, over dramatized piece of commentary. All I'm going to say is damn the infiltration team for screwing with my perception of a good mod.
Both SWAT and SF bore me to tears,INF beats them both in every category. Even the old INF 2.7x weapon models, with their blurry textures and all seem better to me than the stuff the other teams are turning out.
But basically, where INF kills is in gameplay. I've honestly tried to enjoy both SWAT and SF, after all, I downloaded both mods on a 2kbps connection as soon as they were released. SWAT I played 3 rounds, enough to try all the weapons, an uninstall followed. SF I played one 2 minute round, tried the weapons, then uninstall.
I seriously felt something close to remorse for downloading the mods, hoping they would be good in some way, and having to delete them in less than 5 minutes due to the fact that I percieved them to be steaming piles...
The INF team should include a letter of apology in the 2.8 release, expressing their sorrow for spoiling the entire UT community.
SWAT+SF, get your acts together and give INF some sort of competition.
