Here's what I can remember from how I did mine in CTF-AsbestosArena. I added a light, then deleted the brightness, typical lighting things, so that it was just a dry actor. Then I changed it's mesh to the anim sequence of the particular Xan character I was working for...I can't remember much. I think you just select a mesh and a skin...maybe someone else can help...I did this about 6 months ago :)

Sort of got it. Just add a boulder of something from decorations. Open the mesh browser and find the mesh that you want to use. Now in the display properties, find mesh and press use.
Now go back to the mesh browser and find the mesh again. Look through the animations and look for one you want (only the first keyframe of the animation). Now look at the name of the animation and copy it into the animsequence in the display of the boulder.
Then you have to find the correct skins for that mesh in the texture browser. There will probably be more than one (say 1 for the head, one for the torso etc.) set them as multiskins in the display properties of the boulder/nali till it looks right. Now just mess with the collision radius till it's roughly the size of the statue.

Just select a carcass mesh. You can do staues of any mash. eg. a statue of a rocket or a statue of a torch flame.

You can also just place the creature in the map, set its drawscale to the size you want, then set its collision to nothing...make sure that "game relevant" and "always relevant" are true, and set "force stasis"=true, "stasis"= true, and maybe "travel"=false.

you can then place a "block all" in, set for the collision you need...don't use the collision of the creature, or he will bleed when hit....youll still have to find the animation (pose) you want for him...
