I was watching a show on the Discovery channel about Green Berrets, and had a little brain storm. In one scene, it showed the squad storming an apartment building, and each soldier had a small video camera mounted on the side of his helmet. The view from the camera looked just like a FPS, except that the weapon was a little bit more towards the center of the screen (probably because the camera was mounted on the right side of his helmet).

That got me thinking. Instead of having the FOV "through the soldiers eyes", why not place a small camera on the soldier model, and make the FOV through it? I don't know if this would even be possible in the UT engine, but maybe the Inf team could move the FOV up and to the right (or left depending on wich weapon hand you're using), and possibly change it to grayscale with interlaced lines running horizontaly across the screen. Maybe they could even make the screen "hyper-jiggly" to simulate the camera bouncing as the soldier runs. What do you guys think? I don't know if it would really be worth the effort, but it might be cool...
