Nay, this is what I get with the vanilla inf acogs ...

Is it a problem with my .ini settings?

Looks like a problem with the INFc_Weapon super class then. I do not understand why, but it has to be releated to the base INF 2.9 weapon class.

I though INF was beta tested on Linux. WHo conducted the beta testing?

@randomas maybe this is the normal ut451 patch acog problem.

    Erm, er, wasn't me! 8)

It's odd though i seem to recal using inf in linux without this problem ... Then again my amazing power of observation only to this problem because the crosshairs in the ma82a1 were missing ...

Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Unfortunately it's not ut451 ... I did a clean install on 4.32 or whatever the default installer is and in both cases the issue is present ...

i play a little bit with different patch file under windows
it seems render.dll is the reason for this acog problem

    try replace Render.so from patch 451b with Render.so from 440 or 436

Nope, tried that, no luck 436, 440 and 451 render.so makes no difference.

it's funny. Is it an INF bug that popped up in conjunction with something else. Does the problem happen with no mutators. Have you tried with vanilla INF with no fixes?

Geo, is the VSS going to have scoped and iron sight version, as the M14 DMR? Is there any surprises left???

There are always surprises left. Although if you read my affirmations and my "wouldn't it be cool if" or "I can't wait for this or that" when I hop on the servers, you can figure a lot out :p

If this is a bug, does it depend on infiltration, ut, or other stuff? Is it fixable? What do you think?

Hard to say when you don't know what the bug is. But what really "bugs" me is that a part of the ACOG mesh is visible, but the black part is not. Why. The ACOG uses its own black texture, different from the ones of the SPR and Milldot reticles I've made.

If say the problem were that the texture for the rear reticule is placed too far back to be rendered could you fix that, or if they are just textures un the same plane following different rules could you change that texture or the rules?

well. The texture used by the ACOG and the M82/M14 are already diffrent. They are, i think on the same plane... I will check that tongiht.

I thought it might have been clipping. If you want, I may do test versions with different positions of the reticle, we could rule that problem out immediately. PM me if you are interested in testing this.
