So, I have a big favour to ask...

We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Okay, first a little bit of a back story.

I left my university course in April this year due to stress and illness, and I was told that because my last recorded attendance was in March, I wouldn't incur any overpayments, and I would just have to pay my loans back when I'm in a full time job earning over 15k per year.

...What they did not tell me, however, was that it wasn't applicable to grants. And now they want me to stump up £1267 by the end of August. If not, they will either take me to court, or pass my debt on to a loan shark. Either one bringing extra fees and a black mark against my name. I sought legal advice about this and I have discovered they are within their rights to do this, so I am basically ****ed.

I would love to pay it back right away, but as most people know, I just got myself a flat that isn't furnished. I work part time, and all my money goes in on rent and bills. I have literally £10 spare per month.

So my proposal is this:

I'm hoping I can find 120 people to loan me £10 each. Each month, I will pay one person back (this can rise depending on how much extra money I get in, ie. if I manage to find full time work it will be 20 people). Will anybody be willing to help? If it helps, it's roughly about $18 USD. Paypal should do the conversion for you, though.

I'd help you out, but I'm actually surprisingly short on money myself, atm.

If you set up an account, just link it here, and I might get around to transfering a little money.

I'm unemployed atm, but sure. I'll see what I can do :)

Meanwhile check out http://europa.eu/index_en.htm. Sorry, I'm unable to guide you there, I'm a tad rusty. So, it's probably better to contact them via this Europe Direct form: http://ec.europa.eu/europedirect/write_to_us/mailbox/index_en.htm or call 00 800 6789 10 11

The EC UK page: http://ec.europa.eu/unitedkingdom/index_en.htm

Probably the most important, the UK DirectGov: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/index.htm
Specifically, the student loans page: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Educati...tyAndHigherEducation/StudentFinance/index.htm

Any little helps! I'll set up one of those donation buttons.

 I'm not sure how a link to the student finance page will help, it's separate from student loans. It may be by the same company, but this one is a debt, not a loan. I have already sought legal advice, so it does have to be paid. I'm just trying to get as much paid as I possibly can so I can avoid getting a county court judgement. D:

I've personally been through something very similar to this myself here in the States. I started going to college about a week after I got married and it didn't work out. I had student loans in the works but I ended up withdrawing and had to foot the $1500+ bill for the semester myself before I could even get my transcripts to transfer somewhere else. Basically, it sucked.

If I had even a few dollars to spare at the moment, I would definitely drop some over to you. Hopefully others who post in this thread will keep it serious and not detract from the fact that you're in a bad situation and need help.

Not here any more
Have you tried going to the supermarket, and slipping on a grape?
In America you get $10,000.00 for that.

Don't do the porn stuff. We.. I mean they, only pay the girls 2 to 300 bucks a day.

According to Google Calc, the full amount is $2022.76 USD, give or take a cent.

Question ... if I were to loan you the money, how long would it take for you to pay me back?

EDIT: I mean the full amount you owe, not $18.

hummm, and a facebook group. well that makes it official. Good luck with this Igoy.

Do try not to fall into prostitution like so many of us...

however, maybe a change of job/career would be worth it?

- update your CV, make sure some companies get a hold of it? Distribute your CV online & to those you trust, maybe we can forward it on to companies who'll be able to get it to the right people?

10 years.

120 @ 10 every month = 10 years.

Well, what else can I do? I'm not going to make promises I can't keep. I'm hoping to get full time work soon, so I can pay back 20 people per month instead.

I'm applying for full time work, believe me! Even before this happened I've been looking for full time work because right now on the wage I'm on I can barely keep my head above water.

somewhere; sometime?

but... but... this is the perfect opportunity to solicit her for sex :(

for reals though, I think I have a Paypal account left over from when I used to buy things from eBay more often. if it's still tied to my active checking or ATM, I wouldn't have any problem sending the poor lass 20 bucks. and only because it's for education.

if she was being evicted, well, that's too bad :p
otherwise, I've got a soft spot for anyone that's struggling to put themselves through school. enough of my friends are currently being f*cked over by the state (of Illinois) as it is. the public funding of education, or lack there of, is one of my pet peeves.

@ Igoy: if my Paypal account checks out, I'll shoot you a PM for details.
