SkinCity Forums To Close Permanently

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hi all, it's a SaD day :( Due to excessive overload of the BeyondUnreal servers, where SkinCity forums reside, it's been brought to my attention that the smaller forums will be discontinued in a day or two.

This will not affect SkinCity the site but it does mean that any info held here / posted here will be removed and unretrievable. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Plz feel free to post your reaction or comments here before we bite the dust.

It's been a pleasure ;)

that sux majorly ._.;...i visit BU forums just for the Skin City forums. do you know if you could just set up another forum using another host?

Well yea, that bites. This is really the first model/skin forum i've found that has simple basic straight foward tuts and when you ask a question someone tries to actually answer it not just flame b.s. or go into a rant about how "I'm sick of all these n00bs not learning how to use the search blah blah blah."

Any chance BU+QApete could give SaD a bit more time (1-2 days notice is kinda short) to find a new host, back up and move the forums before deleting them? If not that, how about just folding the Skin City forums into the BuF Unreal dev. modeling & skining forum(which imho is rather lacking atm)? If the latter is pos. it would make for a nice one stop shop for all UTxx model/skin resources right from the main BuF list.

In any event i'm glad that Skin City will still be around.

I haven´t heard anything like that.
I know there are some inactive forums to close , but the SkinCity-Forum isn´t inactive in any way . :)
On a side note , the BU-Staff is doing great work and support for the hosted sites and I´m sure they aren´t acting like that.
I´m sure ,if the SkinCity-Forum is on a closinglist or something like that, they would give us enough time to find a solution.

I mail QAPete to get some info and will inform you all , if it´s true or not.

Or can it be , it´s April the first.

:lol: .You got me the first 10 minutes before I realised what date it is.
My mouth was wide open and the color in my face is gone to a bright white.
Also I had a big WTF in my face , too.

Yep , that was a great one. The april fools on the BU-Newspage are always superb.I remember the last , the FBI-one.Countless hours to laugh about.
