I'm playing through unreal, and this time no God mode. So anyway, I was at the place in level three where you cut the forcefield power, and then fight the skaarj in the dark. So in a flash of genious I figured I could dispersion pistol jump over the things keeping me from exiting the force field place. So I did. Then I came to the conclusiong that I had no idea how to kill skaarj or brutes efficently. Anyone help?

Brutes, early in the game: Dart in and out real close with your Automag in either mode so that the Brute can't decide whether to fist you or shoot you. You can deal with one and take no damage. Later, against bigger Brutes, use the Flak Cannon or Eightball to clobber them.
Skaarj (warrior type): Strafe loads so that you dodge their zappy things and their lunge attacks. Stinger very close up in secondary fire in the early stages. Later, Flak Cannon, or decapitate them with your Razorjack or Rifle.
Skaarj (trooper type): Depends on the weapon but AVOID BEING HIT, especially when the Skaarj has an Eightball Gun or a Flak Cannon. You have to figure these out for yourself really.
All Skaarj (esp. warrior type) are vulnerable to a well placed ASMD Combo.
