UE3 - UT3 Setting up units in 3ds max

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hey all, I know this has probably been asked before but I can't seem to track down any answers. I'm having scale problems with vehicles I'm exporting and I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. As you can tell I'm new to Unreal modding.

I'm using 3D Studio Max 9 and need to know the procedure for setting up max so objects that I export are scaled properly. I swore that I saw this in a video tutorial from 3D Buzz but can't seem to remember where I saw it. Currently, I have the units setup like so:

Display Unit Scale = Metric - Meters
System Unit Setup = 0.1 - Meters

I've heard that generic units are ok but would like some clarification as to what I'm supposed to have setup.

Thanks for reading and for any help you can offer.

set your display units to generic units, your system units can be whatever, but 1 unit in max will be 1 unit in Ueditor.
