I was wondering if there is any plans to put all UnWheel game types into a single browser tab. It kindda' sucks having to go tab by tab to find a server with players on it. If you could make a tab that showed ALL servers, and populated servers...That would be great.
I know I could make one myself, but it would be nice to have it right out of the box (installer). Not everyone know how to hack the system files to make tabs.
I made a few for UT classic, I assum it's pretty much the same for 2k4....

Sorry, it doesn't seem possible; the server filter seems to be too automated to allow this. If you want something to browse all UnWheel servers with, I recommend you get The All-Seeing Eye.

You can have different gametypes show up under one gametype in the serverbrowser.

Check out gamemake3. It creates gameclasses to make games show up in different gametypes for example with gamemake you could make a ONS server show up in the DM tab, or a unwheel server under the assault tab etc.

So its definetly possible to make all unwheel gametypes show up in 1 unwheel tab you can get gamemake here: http://unreal.co.za/proasm/

I find that with a 128kbit upload speed you can host at max 4 players 3 with alright ping. I would say that 256kbit would allow 8 players, 512 would be 16 and so on. I only mention upload speed as its nearly always the slowest speed. (In Ausralia 128 is the standard upload speed unless you purchase the most expensive connection then you get 256)

When i host 2 servers on my one connection, usually 7 players a server, it seems to run fine, but I am also running 768k up, I have been trying to figure out what the best setup for UW is, but because i need to run a test server in addition to my public its been put on the back burner currently,And when I run Ued it causes major lag on the server running on my main PC , but I am going to test some other configs, hopefully soon, the standard bandwidth use for ONS would be a good start, your can check the Admin page http://www.unrealadmin.org/forums/index.php?, but i have found everyone seems to have there own opinion on the topic I dont think you want more than 9 players on a UW server but thats just my opinion

thanx for the info, tomorow (Teusday night around 8:30 EST) I'll try setting up a server. I'll pm the IP to those that want to try to join. I have a 256 up (3000+ down ), and want to see how well it works. I only have 1 pc on line right now, so I'll try a both types of servers (dedicated and hosted).
If you want to try to connect, pm me and be here around 8-8:30 and we'll all meet on my server....hopfully lol

I"ll take a stab at making a tab (even if you say it can't be done) and post the hack here if I figure it out.
Here's the UT99 browser tab hack from my web site. Don't know if that'll work on 2k4 and or UW.
