Dear Unreal (series) fans,
I'm new to this forum, although i've been lurking for a while now I finally decided to post my first post.
COLLECTION
First off all i've been a huge Unreal fans for years now. I have in my collection:
PROBLEM AND BACKSTORY
But now on to my problem. Okay some backstory. I've always loved UT99 and it always ran very good on my system. But a few years ago I stumbled upon a problem. This is it:
When I play UT99 in D3D my mouse lags a bit. I can't really explain it. It just moves unnatural and it feels like lag but not exactly.
Now i've come with this solution I use this file:
- OpenGLDrv.dll (258kb) (downloaded it from *UTGLR*)
And I use these unrealtournament.ini settings:
Protocol=unreal ProtocolDescript...yondunreal.com/showthread.php?t=181821&page=1)
* I have not yet installed any STC3 textures, i'm still using the default ones but I will try that later*
YOUR HELP
How can I get rid of the mouse lagging problem in the D3D Renderer. I was hoping you folks could compare my unrealtournament.ini and the OpenGLDrv.dll and the D3D9drv.dll and look at what exactly might be the difference between the OpenGL settings and the D3D settings. Because I don't want mouselag....
*Oh and one little note I've disabled Direct Input in OpenGL (in D3D I also did that but it doesnt do **** for me
And these are the settings I run UT99 on:
Resolution: 1680 * 1050
Depth bit: 32-bit
MY COMPUTER
- Dual Core E8500 running @ stock values
- 2 x 1 gig Corsair DDR2 PC6400 @ 800 Mhz
- Nvidia GTX 295 @ stock values
- Creative Fatal1ty Sound Blaster
- 2 x 500 gig 7200 RPM WD Harddisks (running in raid 0 and 1 partitioned)
I really hope this will help. Oh and I suppose it's not possible to put the Bloom to use in OpenGL since it was specifically written for D3D am I right?
Thanks already for the help. And I will be posting more stuff in the future. I'm glad to meet all the Unreal fans here.
Oh and thumbs up for the BeyondUnreal website it's ... AWESOME!
Greetings to everyone!
