Scoreboard Bug or am I misreading it?

Scoreboard Bug -- This is a real screenshot!

During the recent ILCR Euro 2v2 league trials, Myself and Deadmeat played the RDT guys as a practice to the big event starting next week.

We played the first match, winning 6 rounds to our opponents 4 rounds, and the scoreboard told us that we had won, then swapped sides (colours) and played again. This time our opponents won 6 rounds to our 4 rounds. However, when the scoreboard displayed, it claimed that we had WON the match!!?

How is this possible?

How can you win a match, having won fewer rounds than your opponent?

Any insight into this 'bug/oddity' would be a great help...

Maybe it consider both match and gives the total result ?
That would say that your total kill was superior of the total kill of the ennemy (if you had draw rounds but with one kill,etc,...)

Is that sound possible ?

Plausable, but unfortunately not in this case...

There were no draws, the match time was opened ended and there were no double kills. There is no way the result of one match can effect the result of the next, they are two seperate games.

Here is the game detail again.

MATCH 1
Team 1 -- 6 Rounds Won
Team 2 -- 4 Rounds Won
No Draws
RESULT -- Team 1 Wins Match

MATCH 2
Team 1 -- 6 Rounds Won
Team 2 -- 4 Rounds Won
No Draws
RESULT -- Team 2 Wins Match

The only thing which maybe effected the scores would be other stats not linked to rounds won, eg. Teamwork etc, but I thought this was superficial!?... surely rounds won decides the true match winner, not some other stat?!

Well, as far as I know this is a bug. The exact same thing happend to us yesterday when we played out firtst ILCR trial. Also, this have happend to me several times online. Nothing to worry about, if you have won 3 matches and the opponent 7, then they won the round. This really does not matter in ILCR 2vs2 since they count your points and ranks you out of how many rounds you and your mate has won during the league...

Pretty weird thing right, I was stunned when I saw. No big deal though, we'll straighten things out. The 2nd segment was won by us, the first by Paladin and Deadmeat.

I have to say, I have never heard of this bug.. nor read anything about it. I wonder how many others havent?...

Cheers for clearing that up... something to keep an eye on in future.

and also... Yeah 'Millie' it was a great game! even on that map, my only grumble is that you had to go do other stuff... I could have played all night

I hope every week we get a game as close, and as enjoyable.

Sure, I had other stuff............lol.......you know what time it was over here? Past midnight, that means getting up at 6 am to go to school will get harder and harder by every minute

This is a know UT'ism... whoever wins the last round in a All rounds played match the computer says is the winner... the score is still the score and ignore whom it has said is the winner..

So just keep that in mind... the score is the onyl important thig... not if you want the last round in themap...

Thanks Anrky - I have a problem with ILCR Server

Maybe I should use another thread for this

I have tried serveral times to submit different stuff to the ILCR server, but unfortunately have had absolutely no luck, everytime I get a connection failure message

Not sure why, know anyone else who has had this problem... I am on a Mac, with a UK cable connection... (ok stop da laughter)

Typically I am going to have to get someone else to submit results to ILCR for the 2v2 due to this prob... will I be able to get any help from you fellas? maybe email you the details from the form?

i know macs... but on this issue i don't think i can help you...

all the report form really is, is an easy way to e-mail the results... if you e-mail the details of the match:

Match #:
Team #:
Team Name:
rounds Won:
Rounds Lost:
Maps Won:
Maps Ties:
Maps Lost:
Honour points for the opposite team:

and any comments... all is good!

Can't help you on the mac problem, don't really know anything about them. But I can check if someone does. I'll get back to you as soon as a find something of use to you.

I know a few people that got a mac too, so I'll let them try it out.
