Safegame and UTXMP

Well, safegame has already caught several cheaters in the few short days it's been up, so I think it's safe to say that it's working beautifully.

This is a great alternative to AntiTCC, which has already been hacked for quite some time and will not be updated.

It is also in development stages and you're using it in combination with an as far as we know unsupported mod. Saying it's already caught cheaters is a bit premature.

It's already caught cheaters, and that is a fact. Specifically, aimbots.

And no, it's not unsupported, Cruicky is well aware of UTXMP.

edit: is safeguard a person kicking people, that specs the game. if som1 is doing "too good" he/she is kicked??

i was already checked, at the begining. Than when we won, i got that msg :/

As far as the cheater goes..he knows who we refer to, and based on that clan leader's response to me- who already knew, and had already kicked him from the clan, there is no question he had the helios aimbot. (enough said)

As far as safegame goes... Yep it lags the first 30 second of gameplay, and the first Spawn of the Map takes 30-40 seconds while safegame does its "critical" checks. In standard 2k4 there is a banner telling u that u cant spawn...in XMP its "missing".

For folks that get a multiple Files error...clean ur Cache directory out. to save your downloaded files use something like UTCACHE cleaner 2004 (get at:

Beyond that, it seems to work well.

Duplicate files and modifed standard skins, only get u logged or at worst kicked... A ban happy Admin is a Admin with an empty server.

It is not 100% supported but compared to Anti-TCC which is not being developed its really all Admins have security wise. I wish Epic would step it up since this is really their issue to solve not the community.

prolly cause u modifed a standard skin, or your default is not a standard skin.... Non-standard skins are ok as such, but only if on the server. Modifying a standard skin is a nono... some less honorable peaps build hacks into the skin.

The reason its checking 2k4 skins..is the checker is build for 2k4 skins...not XMP...

There is a bug in SG that even if I have a setting to log...it kicks you anyway...

Dragon, jump on the nobull server and I'll have a look at the logs. If it's a querk with safegame, I'll run it by Safegame's maker and see what we can do to fix it.

Talked to the maker of safegame, it just looks like some of your files were deleted somewhere along the line. Just restore the files and you should be good to go.
