Hi ho guys...
Just a note of appreciation... that this is the right direction for the future development of broad based mapping...
That is not tied into a game as such makes it readily available to non-gamers ..
Eventually I envisage a community of mappers , mapping both the real world and imagined worlds... Like famous earthly landmarks, buildings etc -- the solar system-- other systems etc.. If future developments allowed a method to transfer the works of the mappers to new mapping systems, then the hours of work would not be lost!!!!! and the community would continue to expand.....
An inclusion of rudimentary elements into the engine would be appreciated..
EG.. Like having footsteps , easy method to vary speed, and fly/ walk mode, without having to type in console..
Then non mappers could easily navigate the maps...
