Richard Pryor died of a heart attack on Saturday, Dec. 10th 2005.

Truly, one of America's greatest and most influential comedians - as trite as that may sound. I've always been a fan of his comedy since I'd been exposed to it as a kid, and surely - a lot of people are sad to see him go.

If you aren't familiar with his work, I'm sorry. That's about all I have to say.

I suppose 2005 wouldn't have been complete without killing off everybody that mattered.

Anyway, thought you guys would like to know - had you not known by now.

I grew up with Pryor as one of my heros, it's sad he had to die so young. He was only 65 or somewhere in that area, and he probably would've lived longer if not for his multiple sclerosis. He shall be missed.

Although he was a definite pioneer, paving the way for a multitude of comedians, broke many barriers, and although his contributions cannot be ignored, I just never found the guy gut-wrenchingly funny.
