Review: UT Cache Cleaner 3.0

 • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Cash it in
Whenever you play on a server, and you are missing a file to connect properly, the necessary file(s) are downloaded to your UT/Cache folder. Maps, mods, textures, etc are downloaded and placed into this folder. However, after 30 days or so, UT automatically empties this folder. Thus, all the files that you downloaded are lost.

Take Charge
Instead of letting UT delete all these files, take charge! Using UT Cache Cleaner, you can easily choose which files in your cache folder that you want to delete or keep. If you choose to keep the files, they are then placed into the proper UT folders so that you get to use the files whenever you want.

Online Players only
If you play online often, and find yourself downloading numerous files to play, you might want to check out UT Cache Cleaner. It allows you to conserve space by deleting the files that you don't want, but it saves you time since you won't have to redownload critical files. Also, if you end up visiting a server with that perfect mod, map, mutator, etc. you can move it into the proper UT folders so that you can play the mod, map, or whatever whenever you want. However, one shortcoming is that since you don't download .int files when connecting to a server, you usually can not select a mod/mutator to play directly. This is also the same problem that UT Cache Converter suffers from. The only reason that this utility gets a higher score is for the more user friendly interface.
