"Heads Explode" is a mutator by dp^dude that lets your head grow. When it has reached a certain volume it will blow up and kill you and the other unlucky ones around you.
When you kill someone however, you’re head reduces to its normal size. So it’s a race against time to rack up those frags before you get fragged yourself.
A not particularly useful mutator, neither a very game modifying one, but comical all the same, but with instagib can be a little boring as there are so many frags that no-one has the chance to get their head so big it will explode. On any of the team based games, such as CTF, it is very amusing to watch your fellow team-mates explode in front of your eyes. Just as peoples heads are just about to explode it is VERY funny since their head is really huge and it looks like a cartoon (and makes them an easy target lol).
The graphics part of it is very impressive as the head expansion and explosion gore textures are seamless and look just like the gore from a normal frag and so blends in perfectly. The sound is taken from the normal splatter and explosion effects and so the download is very very small, a measly 11.7kb. Installation is also very simple, a simple copy and paste from the zip file into the system directory.
