Downloaded it off PSN earlier today and played through both stages three times each.

Despite the cumbersome controls, which takes a little time getting used to, it's an awesome demo. Even when playing with the AI, the co-op aspects of the game are pretty cool. I'd probably be up for some online co-op once the full game's out.

My only gripe with the game so far is that the melee combat is very limited and inventory managent in real time can be frustrating during combat (should've at least been streamlined more). It's also kinda weird that this demo doesn't allow you to aim and strafe like they've talked about.

RE series has gone downhill since RE3. Now it's basically just run and gun :(

My main problem with the demo Raynor is that you can't run and gun.

I will give the demo another bash tomorrow but I personally think it blows, cumbersome aiming and not being able to move and fire at the same time is the most absurd game mechanic of all time. At least in Resi 4 you had more than 6 bullets and the melee was actually something usable.

Whoever thought that making controls like this should be taken out and shot.
*argh*
I don't mind not being able to move & shoot.
I do mind a camera-system that goes contrary to what is standard for a reason in first/third-person style games.
I mean who the f did think that strafing is something that you'd need to do by default as movement when you really really want to turn. Picking a setup that claims to 'turn' is no use as all that does is turn the camera a few degrees and autocenter every ff-in time so you keep pushing and pushing just to perform a standard turn.

*arrrrgh*

I seriously don't believe in games that use controls to enforce proper behaviour in-game.
It's Horror allright ... except the horror is in the controls and not in the story/setting.

As if the controls are any less horrible now ;)
Although there's been improvement ... it's mildly disturbing.
