I was wondering if someone out there could make a mutator that resets the map for every round. It would also be nice if you could set the bodies and other objects and decals so that they never decay. There was a mutator like this that came with TO (the game I played rabidly before INF). I really like the idea of the battle ground being littered with bodies shell casings etc., just like IRL.

Edit: To clairify. What I would like to see is a mutator that restores all the open doors and broken windows, begining animations, etc. as well as makes decals pemanant until the end of the round and then resets them. I hate seeing bloodstains and footprints from the prior round all over the ground at the start of a new round. It would be a good idea to develope a casing cleanup mutator (mentioned later in the thread) to go with this as this will be nessasary for snipers.

Set the respawn times for the shellcasings weapons and carcasses to 0 (zero) as said in the help displayed while moving your mouse over the options within our menus.

To get to these options you have to turn on the 'advanced menus' within the 'The System' menu and then select the 'performance' menu. For more details... RTFM (sry, couldn't resist) ;)

Beppo, there's nothing in there for decal, though.

As to resetting the map for each round, would be very nice for some DTAS
matches, so all the doors and windows arn't open/broken at the start of the
next round.

The old Decalstay mutators do work for every UT game/mod, including INF. They are 100% client side too. And we have options for the other objects as stated already.

@Demo... I haven't said anything about the decals, or have I? So it was clear to me that you cannot find an option for decals within this menu... seems not for you tho.

Thanks, Maybe someone could roll the old decal stay mutator in with a reset mutator. Thanks for the INFo on how to set objects to stay permanent.

Ok, Well that's not going to happen. I was really hoping that there would be some enthusiasm for this kind of thing in the INF comunity as I don't know the first thing about Unreal programming. I was wanting a way to make it so that when a new map starts there wouldn't be a bunch of artifacts from the previous round.

This has really changed the way I play offline matches. I can generally track bots by the shell casings they leave behind. I haven't really seen much of an impact on my perfomance because of all the casings unless I do a Co-op Zombie match with lots of Minimis then the body and case count can get quite high  .

I think someone mentioned earlier in another thread about a mutator that would allow you to pick up your brass. I think that would be cool when coupled with non-expiring shell casings. This would really add another element to the game.

Of course it would be nice to see decals that would stay for the whole round and them reset when a new round started. And well, getting all the doors and windows fixed between rounds would be nice as well.
