    In a spell of inspiration yesterday I added a couple of features to RD that have been a while in the making. Granted, one of the features, improved HEX parsing routines, won't make much difference to you end-users, but "a couple" features sound better than "one." The other (or the one, if you're that kind of person) is the ability to play ALL sounds found in a player's voicepack. I'll explain how:

    From v1.16 the %S tag has taken params from '0' to 'F' to play voice messages. Now, in v1.21 you can also use the params '0x00' to '0x6F' to play any message in your voicepack. Like so:

    %S0x00 to %S0x1F - Play Othersound[0] to [31]
    %S0x20 to %S0x2F - Play AckSound[0] to [15]
    %S0x30 to %S0x3F - Play OrderSound[0] to [15]
    %S0x40 to %S0x4F - Play FFireSound[0] to [15]
    %S0x50 to %S0x6F - Play TauntSound[0] to [31]

    The command "mutate rdsound" will now as before list the available sounds in your voicepack, nicely sorted by cathegory and all.

    Note that the old %S0 to %SF will still work, but if you want to look sufficiently h4rdc0r3 and earn geek-creds from showing off your key binds, you could replace them with %S0x00 to %S0x0F.

    So get downloading or reading up on it already.

    BTW: Most INF voicepacks don't have any taunt sounds, so if "mutate rdsound" doesn't list any, that's perfectly normal.

    Are servers running this version already? Admins please check. I think JgKdo is still running the old version.

    I also have some probs with the RD. Every server meant to have it, but I often I can't use the other (additional) sound files and the command behaves weird. Hmm.

    That'd probably be the servers running v1.20. If in doubt, open up the console and type 'mutate help' and see what version RD reports. If it says "ReportDirection v1.20," pester the admin(s) about it. After all, v1.21 has been available for a month now. Remember that RD is server-side only, so you won't see any 'version mismatch' error messages if you connect to somewere running an old version.

    Everybody is running 1.20. Thats too bad because for my offline games i have to switch 121 for 120 to prevent mismatches.

    edit: WHAT!? I've been switching them for nothing?!

    @Ολεθρος:
    Thats what I mean, I ask and people say it's the newest version, but when it behaves weird it can't be the newest version.
    I don't understand why the admins are so lame.
