Reflective Weapons Mutator: Script help!

    :lol: Seriously though, those shots with the 100 reflections etc. are just for show. When I shot that rifle, it slowed my framerate from 40 fps to 3 fps, that would happen even with the bots firing.

    I don't want anyone to be disappointed when I make this mutator available. I haven't decided what to cap the reflections at. Maybe i won't cap them. but I'm sure you all understand.. um.. right? ;)

    Also, the shock rifle is done, but not the secondary fire. I want to try and do that too. if possible, so that the shock rifle's primary fire doesn't become too interesting in proportion to the secondary fire.

    Be patient! ;) Quality and completion takes time, especially when you're overwhelmed by the kinds of assignments that i mentioned above.

    well just do a mut menu in which everyone can choose the limitations for himself
    as seen in giblife boomdeath aso
    furthermore the exchanged weapons should also be choosable
    but nice jo dude!

    yeah,but you'd have to stand still to get the hit correctly. In most cases.

    man how much luck would you have to have to altfire at a wall, watch it go around the corner, wait for twenty seconds then fire and watch as you get a kill or even a double kill. Man, the cheat accusaations would be flying then :D

    To make to game run faster, you should delay the reflections, that way it dosent have to compute it all at once.

    I"m not sure how to do that.

    But take a look at this: the Reflective Lightning gun working incorrectly:

    now look at this picture of the Reflective shock rifle working correctly in the same spot aiming at the same angle:

    Doesn't that seem odd? The lightning gun is drawing the beam to the points of reflection, instead of in-between them. It seems hopeful that this will eventually be resolved.

    Wow! That's a freakin' awesome mutator! If you get stuck on anything I'll try to offer a hand, just PM me or IM me or e-mail me or something. I did a couple of configurable mutators for 2k3, but I dunno how the GUI in 2k4 works just yet. I need to get my copy of WOTgreal back out again before I do anything though.

    I'm getting there. And shocked that i'm having enough time to do it. Perhaps i should wait.

    So far the lightning gun and shock rifle are finished, except the shock rifle's secondary fire which i'm still ambiguous of, considering what people have told me about shock combos around corners.

    I have figured out how to put checkboxes in the mutator to enable/disable whichever weapons you do or don't want turned on.

    I may release a version that just has a minimal amount of reflections (let's say 5), until i figure out how to make adjustable integer variables, cause right now everyone seems to be wanting this mutator.

    Now. My question. Does anyone know how to make a mutator do a check and replace for a weapons locker? because my reflective weapons are not distributed in weapons lockers.

    No. The lightning gun used to, but i changed it so that it wouldn't. and besides, if i allowed it to do that. it would be inconsistent in comparison with the reflective shock rifle.

    I need help in determining how to replace weapons in the weapons locker.

    This is how weapons are replaced on weapons bases and weapons pickups:

    yeah thats cool...i was just imagining have like 5 bots setup in a set position (not moving) then shooting at the wall and have it reflect everywhere hitting eachbot in the head...cause that would be cool...right.

    nonetheless your mutator is awesome to the max! ^_^

    edit: GASP!!! a headshot on yourself.........................how cool! :lol:
