I recently finished my latest UDK project, Reclamation.

Here is the video for the level (turned out a bit darker than it is in game or the screens below)

And here are some screens.

More screens can be found on my site, mozidesign.com

Cheers!

I just love environments like those. Dont think you could have make it even greener. Also like the mossy walls. Overgrown abandoned industrial areas start to get standard.

Looks nice. One thing that bugged me in the video was the steam coming out from the roof seemed too be way to white, to me it just didn't look like it was part of the scene.

Hmm, how come the plant (the building, not the flora here, duh :p ) has lights on in it? If it's abandoned, the lights should be off or at least flickering.

Yeah I know, it actually looked right before. But for some reason during a lighting build that emitter became to bright...

It's a quick fix but really don't feel like sitting through another 1.5 hour lighting build.

Cause I deemed it so.

Just felt cool to have some colors from different lights.

In all I used very little BSP in this level as you can see from this screen

Also here are some screens showing the 'evolution' of the main interior hallway

I love how organic this level is, the Unreal Engine has suffered from having quite a static design philosophy for a long time (aside from some small examples), we've had rotating and animated skyboxes but never really blowing wind or other small subtle things (ok maybe Unreal 2 had blowing grass but I can't think of many other examples).

Great work.

Thanks.

Though there are some things I'd like to tweak if I get time. One of which is figure out why my smoke emitter turned from smoke into a massive white thingy

Also perhaps redo the video so it's brighter.

If your recording the video in a somewhat different non 4:6 resolution such as 1920X1200 instead of 1920X1080 I found that youtube will make the video extremely dark. Took me forever to figure that out XD Map looks really good :) Love the new lighting in UDK :D

Thanks.

I recorded the video at 2560x1600, I use a wide screen monitor. That explains why my level portfolio video was a bit dark too
