Real-time procedural textures, yeeehaw!!

Ok, folks, I hope I'm not inventing hot water here; remember when I ranted about fuxxored animated textures?? Well, I figured that stuff out now, there are two things that seem to be vital: source texture has to be in the same package and, important, you have to select that checkerboard in the texture properties view *only*, when painting; otherwise it doesn't work. And another thing; it seems you have to create and paint the texture with your level opened, I had problems otherwise. Weird.

And since Ictus seemingly had problems with framerates - textures have to be small; 256x256 is pretty big size for them.
