I get them every now and then, but I just had like 5 in a row in about 10 minutes. So this time I saved the log. This is the last part after a bunch of "stale" and "empty" things
Anyone on the Dev team or someone who knows UT code know what's going on? Or how to fix it?

Wow. it's the open AL that is crashing. As soon as I saw the first lines I knew it was sound related, but the last few lines confirms it.

    Did you recently...
    ...install quake 4?
...install the lastest beta of the creative audigy drivers?
    ...change your sound drivers?
...install or update the lastest OpenAL drivers?
...smoke weed to close to your PC's microphone?

The do all of them in reverse order until it works properly.

Well.. you can skip the weed thing if you mind. Opium works fine too...
No on a more serious note, I'd try updating the OpenAL drivers and the sound card drivers to see if it helps. Do a full uninstall of these drivers first, as a clean install is most likely to fix the problems.

If you have little interest in EAX and have a creative sound card, I would recommand using the KX audio drivers. They turned out to be a revelation to me... ASIO support, 3D support, full DSP control, better sound quality (lower noise levels), full volume control, and so on. They also turned out to be much more stable. But you might have some trouble running some games with Hardware sound and there's no EAX support... which is pretty useless and anoying. THat must be the most over-rated sound gadget ever.

Time to crush your misplaced enthusiasm in your ability to help me...

    I'm on a Mac.

And it's not like it can be out of date, I bought this thing only a couple months ago.

Oh and it happens with or without EAX on.

Does it happen with either the FMOD or Galaxy audio systems? You could try the 'standard' (read: crapper than crap) UT sound system.

Well, there's your problem right there.

There's a smiley face in your system code.

I am on 10.4.3, the latest Mac OS.

Crowze, I've never seen those options in any of the prefs. Oh, and typing "preferences" in the console doesn't work on UTpr3.

Does it have anything to do with the sound channels thing? I haven't really played around with it... but who knows.

I never play INF without smileys in my code. :D

Does anyone know if booting UT in classic would make changes to the UTpr3 UT? And if I change my UT will it change my INF? (I never play normal UT so I have no idea)

    Here's some new samples:

This one had no warning (usually it's nades that cause it)

OK i tell you what... i am pretty sure it's a sound-related crash. Investigate in that direction.

I don't know UT code at all. Much less anything to do with sound drivers. Most of my technical experience is on a Mac (where everything works and I don't get into too much technical detail) and with theatre (lots of big cables). You turn my INF problem into a bunch of really simple problems or huge cables and I'll get right on it. But for now I have no clue what to do (hence why I'm running around like an idiot for help)

Game start crash using M67s with WP1.2 weapons

I have no idea why the hell it would do this, and it's pissing me off quite a bit. Any ideas on something that might fix this? I turned the rolling m67s off, but that didn't do anything. As it were, I didn't even use the M93R as part of my loadout in this game, opting for the M1911 instead, but the error message says a whole bunch of **** about the M93R. Help me if you can, I'd really like to play this and still be able to blow stuff up. I couldn't get the attachment to upload, so if you have an email I can send it to for examination, please let me know.

    Another intersting tidbit

After a bit more exploration of my problem, I've found that starting a normal game will work just fine, and long as I don't try to test my loadout with the M4A1 and the 67s. Nothing else in that loadout except for ammo, helmet, and level 2 vest, so I'm guessing it's some kind of interaction with the M4A1 and the 67s. I'll do a bit more fiddling with things to see if other WP1.2 weapons cause this crash when mixed with m67s on the shooting range, and maybe I'll figure something useful ouit.

there not supposed to be any interaction between the M4 and the M67. Have you tryed reinstalling the weapon pack? What other mutators are running?

Next time, start a new thread when discussing different problems please :) thx.

if an admin could split this one, it would be nice.

Are you still having trouble with these? Following the whole audio driver angle, can you post the OpenAL.OpenALAudioSubsystem section of your Infiltration.ini?
