I am going to make a railgun and a tut for it.

I want to call it "Ranger Railgun" becuase I like that name, but in essence it will be a sniper railgun.

It will fire thru wall of course
I was thinking it should have 50 ammo, and about the same orf as the ASMD
Effect I was thinking would be like the U1 ASMD, but smaller rings, perhaps with the red shock rifle beam too.
Either 1 shot gibs, or 50 damage a shot, and 1 shots kills for head shots
Alt is scope, I am thinking it will show where people(perhaps only bots) are behind walls, but not like U4e, more like the DSPCC

Like the idea, dont like, suggestions?

It should kill in one shot, and have a fixed zoom scope. U1 rings with an instant hitting blue shock beam would be good. But do whatever you think would teach the most stuff.

I still miss a good chargable sniper weapon. What about making the projectile impact (and maybe splash?) damage dependant from the time you hold primary before firing? This could then either be penalized by using up more ammo or the view beginning to shake (-> your aim being off) from the weapons vibrations. The 'standard' railgun/instant-kill beam weapons are beginning to bore IMO.
